Chapter 16: The director's karma!

Claire's POV

I was in the hospital, when I saw director packing his properties.

What the hell is he doing?

My thoughts were loud that I murmured it out.

Did wright do something, or is the director just leaving the hospital? But he is on duty.

I was wondering what was happening. All the nurses and doctors kept staring at him.

He went out of his office then he fixed his eyes on me. It was so obvious he was looking at me.

The doctors and nurses attention shifted on me. My heart wanted to jump out of my chest, I thought he was going to act crazy again as always.

He took his eyes away then took a glimpse of all the nurses.

He walked out of the hospital without looking back. I suspected something. He was wearing a bandage.

Whoo, did wright really did something!

That came into my mind. I was shock than surprised.

After the director had left, the nurses began to look at me.

I looked away but they were still focused on me. I had no choice but to talk.

" Is..there.. something..on my face?" I stammered.

Nervous, it is. Many thoughts crossed my mind.

In a moment, a nurse approached me.

" Doctor Claire, why was the director looking at you that way?" She asked.

I kept silent, I didn't know what to say next. I have to get out of this situation.

" I...I...I don't know why he was staring at me." I said slowly.

" Okay then. Thank God he is gone." She whispered.

She must be part of the nurses the director harassed. She left my presence with a smile on my face.

I didn't know how I felt specifically. I need to ask high boss what happened.

I didn't know if I was happy or sad but one thing is sure. I was rest assured.

The nurses and doctors left and went for their duties. I also left the spot immediately.

I was on my way to look at my patient when Lucy stopped me.

" What did you want?" I asked.

Lucy has always been a bully since I started working in the hospital. She was always against me.

" Did you think I would forgive you easily?' she uttered.

" I...what did I do?" I asked.

" The director is not here anymore, your mistress life is gone now, right?" She whispered.

" I was never a mistress, so can you get out of my way." I said.

I was not ready for what she wanted to say.

" How dare you. Now you have the gut to talk back at me." She gave out a short smile.

" I'm on duty, can you excuse me?" I repeated.

She moved closer to me.

" Well, I didn't forget the way you talked to me in front of high boss." She said.

" So what..." I pursed.

" Well, I will let this slide but the next time you do that, you are going to regret it." She uttered.

I always fear her. She could do anything so she can be satisfied.

She walked away in a moment with a dangerous gaze.

I went to see my patient immediately.

I was really busy in the hospital almost the whole day but I needed to see high boss.

I went to the military around 7 pm to see him. I saw him in the library then walked towards him.

He saw me then stood up.

" Why are you here so late?" He asked.

" Can't I come to see my boyfriend?" I smiled.

" You can, miss." He smiled back.

I sat on the chair then he sat in front of me.

" Did you miss me so much that you came at night?" He asked.

" Yes, I really missed you so much." I smiled.

He joked then I chuckled.

" Umm, high boss. Can I ask you something?" I said.

" I told you to call my name when we are alone right? So what did you want to ask me ma'am?" He smiled.

" It's about the director, did you perhaps did anything to him?" I asked.

" Yes, I made him regret it." He replied.

" What did you do to him?" I was surprised.

" Nothing much. Why are you surprised, are you not happy you won't see him again?" He asked.

" It's not like that. I was surprised because I thought you were really joking." I said.

" My girlfriend is being harassed, I should do something." He smiled.

Wright is the best.

" Oh, I'm glad you did that?" I said with a smile.

" So you are happy, I thought you would not be." He uttered.

" You did the best thing for me, wright. But I felt like I made him lost his job." I expressed.

" You didn't do anything wrong, he was the one at fault." He held my hand.

" Thank you wright." I said sincerely.

" I'm always here for you. Now that he is gone, be rest assured." He smiled.

I didn't know I did meet someone like high boss. He should have been my childhood friend because he acts like him.

I gave out a smile without knowing.

" Why are you smiling?" He asked.

" Because my boyfriend is the best." I said.

" Ohh, I am but my girlfriend is the real genius." He joked.

I chuckled softly.

" Huh, I heard our holiday will be next week." I said.

" Yes, it is." He smiled.

" Oh, thank God." I whispered.

I won't be able to see Lucy for a while till we resume.

" You must be happy, right?" He asked.

" Yes, I'm so happy. I got a precious boyfriend before holiday." I said.

" You are so adorable!" He uttered.

I chuckled.

I was really truly happy. I got a love before holiday. Every holiday I had so far was so boring as my life back then.

But now, high boss is with me. Even though I can't find Ryan. I still have a love for me and that is high boss.

Ryan didn't cherish our memories so I will forget about them all also.

We chatted for a while then he walked me back to the hospital.
