Chapter 7: duty and pain

Wright's POV

The next day came, it's time to go to Zuda forest. All the soldiers match into the airplane.

We sat and the plane took off. Everywhere was quite except the sound of the airplane.

" We can do this!" My bob cut the silence.

" Yes sir." The soldiers responded.

" This is our destination, let's get down." He said.

The soldiers rushed out of the airplane and this time, we hanged around the building.

There were so many people watching the building and if we don't shoot, we will be stuck at a point.

" Shoot!" I shouted.

The soldiers aimed immediately then shoot.

After shooting the first target, I knew the people in the building will know we have arrived.

" Move!!!" I shouted, my voice full of energy.

" Move!!!!" Mr bob added.

" I will go inside now." I told the director.

" Okay, be careful in there. Five soldiers should follow you so you won't be alone." Mr Bob said.

" Let's go in." I looked at the five soldiers.

We entered the building and saw the two soldiers from a distance. They were put in a cage.

I looked around and suspected that some men were hiding then I shot straight to the cage to release the soldiers.

I knew that should not have been the first thing, I needed to save the soldiers first.

The men hiding began to shoot then I saw that they were many.

" You should run now." I uttered.

" Yes sir." They responded.

The soldiers left the unit and followed my words.

After I saw that the soldiers already gone. I stood up from where I have been.

I began to shoot and move closer, killing any men in sight.

They were really many than I thought.

One of the men set his gun and shot my hand. The gun fly out of my hand and the other man shot my leg.

I looked at the edge of the building then I saw that the soldiers were looking.

" Call more soldiers from home." I signaled.

The soldiers caught what I said then they ran out of the building with the trapped soldiers.

" Where is wright?" Mr bob asked roughly.

" He has been trapped in the building by the bandits." One of the soldiers said.

" What! we need to get him out of here." Mr bob said.

" He signaled to us to call more soldiers from home." A soldier said.

" We should do that." Mr bob said instantly.

They carried the two trapped soldiers into the airplane while Mr bob called more soldiers from home.

At the other side in the building, I was chained. The men surrounded me like zombies.

One of the men moved towards me.

" What is the secret of your forces?" The man asked.

I looked at him without saying anything. They must have been sick of asking. The soldiers didn't tell them and I also, they met the same thing.

" Why are you all stobborn, you are f*****g wasting our time." The man yelled.

I stood there without saying nothing. My silence must really make them mad.

One of the men aimed and shoot me. I let out a quiet groan. I didn't want then to see my weakness.

" You are so stobborn, you bastard." He said.

I didn't say a word.

The man took a big stick then he slapped me hard with it. My face and lip began to bring out blood.

" What is the power behind your forces?"

I let out a sign then looked up at each faces.

" I can't tell you." I said sharply.

That was all I had to say. Deep within me I thought, if this is what loyalty means then let's do it.

" Tell us the truth or I will destroy your handsome face." One of the man yelled.

I looked at the man then let out a smile.

" How dare you?" The man said angrily.

He moved closer to me then gave me multiple slaps. I should not show my weakness to them at all. I was still not giving up.

This must have been what the trapped soldiers passed through.

The man removed his belt then he went behind me and began to hit me.

My mind flashed back home, I thought about Claire. The only thing I could murmur for that moment was ' I am sorry.'

" You f*****g monster, tell us the answer." He yelled in anger.

As he hit me, I coughed out blood. He hit me thirty times then he finally stopped.

" We are going to kill you here if you don't talk. You keep forming loyalty while your country has forsaken you."

This time I really had no strength to talk but that word he said, I must say something.

" My country.......I pledge to my country....to stand....with it so....my country..will never forsak me." I managed to talk slowly.

" What...."

Immediately, the soldiers entered the room and shot all the men in the building.

Lazzie saw me then ran to me.

" High boss!" He panicked.

"lazzie, you....are here." I whispered.

" I've got you." He said.

Lazzie stood up and shot the chain five times. The chain was really thick.

When the chain was released, I fell on my knees. I was really weak to stand.

Lazzie immediately carried me into the airplane. I fainted when we got home and was immediately rushed to the hospital.

Claire's POV

I was told that soldiers were carried to the hospital. I immediately rushed out to respond to the emergency.

My mind was fixed on high boss. I hope he won't be injured.

I reached there. I was shocked to see wright in blood. My heart beat faster like I was in danger.

" High boss!" I whispered.

I didn't know when that slipped my mouth.

" Please, help him doctor. Please take him for a surgery now." Lazzie plead.

I immediately rushed him to the surgery room with other nurses.

As I performed the surgery, I saw many wounds in his body especially his back.

I was really worried, my head was ringing, I must save him.

I was focused on him, nothing else. It was really hard for me to pull myself together. I was performing a surgery on the man I just fell in love with.

The surgery lasted six hours and after the surgery, he was transferred to the next room.

I was really worried about him. If only I have not fall for him but this was all crazy.

Wright's got a serious injury and Claire from the other side was really worried.😯😲

Will wright recover immediately like the first time they met or it will take a long time for him to wake up?🤔🔥

What will happen to Claire, how will she feel? The person she recently fall in love with is unconscious.🤔🔥
