On the way to the hospital, Cameron's left eye kept twitching for no reason. Julianne whined and clung to him, complaining her leg hurt, but instead of the usual rush of worry, he only felt her voice grating against his nerves. At the hospital, they ran every test possible. When the doctor returned with the results, his tone was gently helpless. "Mr. McBride, we've checked repeatedly. There is nothing physically wrong with Miss Moore's leg." Cameron's expression darkened, his voice turning sharp. "Nothing wrong? Then why is she in pain? Are you saying she's lying?" The doctor shook his head quickly. "That's not what I meant.
