“See! I told you she went with him!” Ro shouts, pointing to Grey in triumph.
I don’t recognise the man who walks into the bedroom behind her, but I do Grey’s related to him, since they have exactly the same nose and cheek bones. An uncle or father are the first things that come to mind, and the way he walks straight over to Avery when he makes eye contact with Grey makes me think it’s the latter.
“We should go.” The new man mumbles under his breath in her ear, his rough voice vibrating lowly as he clutches Ro’s hand as if she’s the life support keeping him here. Avery’s hand comes up to catch the fake leather of his jacket and it’s then I take a minute to look him over properly.
