Danny appears from the living room, looking from me to the open door, then back to me again. His face is something of pure shock; he’s basically walked into an alternate universe where there are wizards and death and crazy people.
“Dude, this is more exciting than Batman vs Superman – s**t’s about to go down between those two – we should totally go watch.” He says quickly, heading out the oak door as well. Nodding numbly, I follow him, still in a state of confusing surprise.
