(Danielle) I stared at the bathroom, and then back at the note. Being with me would hurt him. Protecting me might endanger him. What was I supposed to do now? Should I just turn back and run? My legs felt like jelly as I stood there, staring at the bathroom door like it might explode any second now. A part of me, a huge part of me, wanted to turn around and run.
