(Danielle) I was getting ready for bed when Damien's phone rang. His eyes narrowed before he pressed answer. And then he handed me the phone. "Aaron," he mouthed, and my heart almost leapt out of my throat. Goddess. I yanked the phone out of Damien's grip, my heart banging in my chest. Damien chuckled and shook his head, amused before he walked away, giving me some privacy. It had only been two days, but it felt like years.
