I came too late to go help Danielle save Millie, but when she came back home, she would have everything she wanted to stay comfortable.
I cooked for her, brewed coffee and waited.
Damien texted me that the rogue had escaped and they would be coming back to the dorm once they sent Millie back to her home.
And so I waited, heart banging. I missed her so damn much. It felt like I hadn't seen her for eons...
"Why is it taking so long? Goddess, I want to see her..." Zed complained. I felt just as impatient as him.
I leaned against the table, staring at the door, willing it to open and then it did.
There she stood, streaked with mud, hair messed up, in Damien's jacket and... she was still the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. She was everything I had ever wanted.
