Yes. He did.
"Aaron?" I blinked again, as if my eyes were playing tricks on me, like if I looked too hard, it might all dissolve.
He was laughing, but it cracked in the middle, and his eyes were wet. He looked like he was about to break down and cry in the middle of the corridor.
"She... she really woke up?" I asked again, my voice shaking.
"Yes. She woke up. Goddess, Dani, she woke up," he said, pulling me into a tight hug,buring his face into my shoulder.
I gripped him harder, trying to find a way to calm myself down. My heart was racing from happiness and fear.
What if she didn't remember me, what if everything would change when she finally come back?
I missed her, but a part of me was afraid to see her.
