It's been four days since I signed the contract, and every time I thought about what lay ahead, I felt a little sick.
I'd tried to come to terms with my new reality that I'd entered a contract alliance with my ex-mate, but then, lying to my friends hadn't made anything easier. I didn't know how to explain Killian's sudden appearance in my life, without telling the whole truth. They were going to flip out, especially Kira.
