Chapter 11

I couldn't have gotten more than five hours of sleep before Adam woke me. "I'm sorry Ariel but it's time to go save your mates. We don't know what we're walking into so I need you to stay by my side." He said in a hard but gently voice. I sprang from the bed and narrowed my eyes at him. "No Adam. They are my mates, my father. I will not stand on the side lines. I will fight and kill every one of the beings who dared to hurt my family."  The memories of my dreamscape coming back to me, fueling me with rage. I looked at Adam with my red tinged vision that was outlined with a haze of black. Asmodeous came and stood beside Adam looking at me and my rage filled state. "Let's go." I commanded and rushed out of the small home. I felt no fear, no pain. The only thing coursing through my veins was white hot rage and the need for revenge. Remembering the state of my loved ones I roared into the brisk night and took to the sky, not even waiting to see if Adam and Asmodeous was following. At this point I didn't care, I'd rather them stay away and not have to witness what I was about to do. But of course I had no such luck. Adam flew up beside me and Asmodeous on the other. "We are in this together flower." Asmodeous said taking my hand. I gave him a curt nod and made myself fly faster, the need to save my family before it was too late. I couldn't believe that I would be too late, I couldn't let myself lose hope. When we made it to Trinity I threw our bond doors wide open. Pain like no other hit me in waves. Agonizing, excruciating pain. Knowing this, knowing this is the kind of pain they are causing my mates my rage boiled over. I knew exactly where they were thanks to our bond and I made it to them in seconds.  I threw the old rusted doors of the warehouse wide open. There they were, hanging by their hands. Their hands lolling forward unconscious, blood dripping heavily from their bodies. My eyes landed on the wide eyes werewolves and creatures that stood before me. I let my darkness out, my endless supply warping, pulsing and raging along with mine. They quickly took the now screaming supernaturals into their embrace. "Make them suffer. Don't let them die, keep them alive. Make them feel exactly what they made my family feel and more. When you're done with your torture I want to kill them with my bare hands."  My darkness swirled around me giving me comfort and understanding. I rushed towards my family, opening and digging into all the power I possessed. I lifted my hands high and wide as light burst forth through them, completely encasing them. There was no sight of them, they were hidden within the healing light. I've never healed from this range and never in this magnitude, but I knew I was capable of it given the situation demanded it. Nothing could stop me from saving my family. No angels or demons not even this bastard shadow demon, no one would hurt them. As my light receded from them, they were as good as new and energy still pulsed like a wild fire within me. "Adam." I called scarily calm. "Unbind them, get them out of here," I demanded. "Ariel no. There is no way we're leaving you here with them." Gabriel shouted. I turned to him, my eyes bore into him making him squirm. "I will not allow you to stay." I stated without emotion. "I already went through enough pain with what I came home to, in no way will you be here. I do not want any of you to witness what I am about to do. Now go, please." I pleaded with them.  They all looked between each other, a silent conversation passing between them before they all nodded and left. I could feel their hesitation and worry but I disregarded it and focused on the people before me. "You chose the wrong people to mess with." I told them. Their faces were warped with pain. Silent screams hanging from their mouths. "Now tell me. Who ordered the attack? The one that tells me I will show mercy to and kill you quickly." I had no intention of letting any of them live, but if one of them could lead me to the mastermind behind all of this I would show that one mercy, even if everything in me was telling me otherwise.  I called my shadows back to me, letting them swirl and pulse around me. The men sank to the floor crumpling in on themselves. "So anyone going to talk?" I asked. One man looked up. By the looks of it he was a werewolf. "We don't know." He gasped through his pain. "A voice spoke to us in our minds telling us to attack and take whoever was inside prisoner. We captured three, the fourth was killed." I laughed humorlessly. "No." I corrected. "He was gravely injured but alive, as you just saw because he came with me." The man nodded his head. "I'm sorry we took your family, sorry we tortured them. We were following the voice blindly. None of us knew an Angel was involved."  I smirked. "I am not just involved. Two of them are my mates and one my father. If you had not ambushed them with other supernaturals you never would have lived. My mate is the Archangel Michael and my father Lucifer. And I am no Angel. I am a demigod, daughter of the goddess Nyx and granddaughter of the original gods kaos and Gaia." The mans mouth hit the floor, just a few seconds before he bowed before me. "I am so sorry goddess." He whispered.  "I will keep my promise and kill you quickly, you will feel no pain. But I want to tell you who was speaking in your mind. It was a demon from another world, the shadow demon. A demon the gods themselves could not kill but only contain in a specially formed prison. A prison that has broken and released the demon into our realm."  Before the man could say another word I snapped his neck with a flick of my wrist. And one at a time the others suffered. I not only tore their limbs from their pathetic bodies but I burned some of them slowly from the inside out. The others, well the others suffered even greater pain. I started slow, punching my hand through their bodies and pulling out the organs they could lose and still live. Then I moved on to more vital organs. I could only imagine the pain they experienced before death took them slowly.  When I was ready to go home and be with my newly freed family I tore their hearts out. The destruction I left in my wake was undeniable. As I took to the sky I lifted my hand, fire roared to life in my palm and I threw it at the dilapidated building. It burst into flames quickly. I smirked before turning and flying at full speed home, to my loves and my father.
