I watched as my mate left with no looking back and my chest puffed up in pride when I heard her exclaim to Jacob, that I was her first and only mate. I looked back at Jacob and saw him looking sad and with regret. Seems like he did hope for a chance with her but now with her words spoken he knows he has lost. “I think that is enough punishment for one day,” I say as I lock up the silver door to the torcher room where he hangs from.
