Black fog around Asteria started to fade, almost all the people in the mall ran away and I could hear emergency sirens getting closer.
I need to get her out of here!
After a few more seconds she slid down to the ground, unconscious. The sudden outburst of power must have worn her out. I picked her up, bridal style and started to walk. Menatlly cursing myself for not going to the gym as much as I should. By no means she was heavy, I just was terribly out of shape.
Huffing I was able to carry her to the parking lot where most of the people gathered. Some looked worried at sleeping Asteria and asked if she needed help or if they should inform the paramedics.
