Rhys arrives without a message.
This in itself is information. He has a standing protocol for Pack Hall visits that involves a brief notification through the internal system, because Caden's mornings are structured and Rhys is aware of the structure and generally respects it. When he appears in the doorway of Caden's office at half past ten on a Wednesday without a notification having preceded him, Caden sets down the border logistics report he has been reviewing and waits.
Rhys closes the door behind him.
He does not sit. He stands with the specific uprightness that means he has been carrying what he is about to say for long enough that it has acquired weight, and he has come to deliver the weight rather than continue to carry it.
