The performance was flawless, designed to make the brothers feel protective towards her and also guilty as well. And it worked perfectly. Both Dion and Alistar immediately moved to comfort her, their faces filled with rage as they turned back to look at me.
"Look what you've done," Dion snarled. "You've made her cry."
"Stop acting righteous," Alistar spat out angrily as he continued speaking.
"Stop pretending like you know what it's like to suffer when you've never had to fight for anything in your life."
