Zirael and I exchanged a look. We were able to understand what little Aida was still innocent of– the human woman had apparently been providing personal service to the Alpha's sons, and her withdrawal from that role had created tension among the other servants, so they were taking out their frustration on the little girl, because they felt, it was because of Aida, that her mum stopped.
"The woman who hurt you," Zirael continued carefully, trying not to alarm Aida whom we had already gotten to slowly trust us that we wanted to help, "was she angry on behalf of the brothers, or for her own reasons?"
