*Astrid* As we arrive at Dan’s former workplace to have a chat with Gert we quickly realize that the club is hosting its annual holiday party. The soft melody of a Christmas classic hums in the background, almost drowned out by the murmur of the well-heeled crowd mingling around us. The air is rich with the scent of pine and expensive perfume.
