Two hundred guests occupied the mahogany tables, their designer clothes and jewels catching the flickering flames. Waiters in white gloves circulated with champagne flutes, while a string quartet played softly in the corner. Aaron stood, tapping his champagne glass with a silver spoon. The metallic ping silenced the room. "Before we begin," Aaron announced, his voice carrying across the hall, "I want to thank everyone for being here. Soon, I'll marry the woman of my dreams.
