Maddox’s POV The moment we ended the meeting I was up out of my chair and out the door. I was excited to get back to my mate. The meeting took a lot longer than I thought it would though. I linked the guards I placed on my mate and said, ‘Has my mate tried to leave the room yet? Has she asked about me?’ I knew I sounded whipped already, but I couldn’t care less.
