“Hello Epsilon” their voice rang through the comm device into my ear causing my body to stiffen immediately, the comm device was a device made by me so I could have a secure channel to send out information it only went one way via a network of comm devices if you didn’t have a comm device you should have no way of using that network
I never gave them a comm device
And yet here we were, their voice ringing in my ear as if they were mocking me telling me how easily they had yet again invaded my space, my haven, showing me that I couldn’t hide from them, how they could find me if they wanted to, I was sure they knew that and I would bet my left hand that they reveled in it
Still reeling from shock my mouth hung open trying to find words, longing to ask ‘How are you doing this
