Chapter 15 A Difficult Woman

She Stood Before the Desk, Enduring Gu Feibai's Death Stare “You timed it perfectly, sending the package from the office to my house on purpose. What was your plan?” A chill ran through Qiu Xueyi's heart." Can he read minds?" She was genuinely shocked. There was no way to deny it. As his assistant, Qiu Xueyi had Gu Feibai's home address. With a smile, Qiu Xueyi leaned casually on the desk, her eyes narrowing seductively as she bent slightly toward him. “You know exactly why I did it, don't you, President Gu?” she teased, her voice dripping with mischief. “You're bold.” Gu Feibai's gaze flickered briefly over her chest, almost imperceptibly. “Well, it's hard not to be when the president is as exceptional as you are,” Qiu Xueyi responded, her voice low and husky, her tone flirtatious, adding an unusual allure. As long as she wasn’t a spy planted by Qiu Xuehu, Gu Feibai was willing to accept her other motives for now. His gaze darkened as his Adam's apple bobbed subtly. Before Qiu Xueyi could react, Gu Feibai suddenly pulled her close by the waist, pressing her against the desk. His lips hovered dangerously close to hers, and Qiu Xueyi's eyes widened, her body frozen in place. Gu Feibai let out a soft chuckle. So, this is her reaction? And she dared to claim she was seducing him? Seeing the mockery in his eyes, Qiu Xueyi felt indignant. Throwing caution to the wind, she leaned in and bit his thin lips, hard. Take that, you scumbag! Gu Feibai inhaled sharply in pain but didn’t seem angry. In fact, her clumsy defiance amused him. Panting slightly, Qiu Xueyi stopped, but before she could speak, his lips descended again. This time, his powerful tongue forcefully invaded her mouth, completely dominating her. She was overwhelmed, her mind spinning, unaware of when he finally let her go. When she regained her senses, her face was flushed, eyes glazed with confusion and tears. Is this woman, who can't even kiss properly, really someone who's had a child? Gu Feibai wondered, but he didn’t ask. He had no right to, after all. He couldn’t let her know that he had been interested in her since that day at the airport. “President Gu, have you fallen for me?” QiuXueyi half-lay on the desk, gazing at him with a mocking smile, though her heart was full of disgust. If he can do this so casually during office hours, wha's to stop him from dragging a woman into bed after work? “Fallen for you? You can't even kiss properly. What's there to fall for?” Gu Feibai's expression instantly turned cold, his words merciless. Qiu Xueyi was speechless. Then why were you so eager just now? She jumped off the desk, fixed her clothes, and provocatively looked at Gu Feibai. “One day, you'll regret it.” “I'll be waiting,” he replied with a smirk, curious about what tricks she had up her sleeve. Qiu Xueyi walked out of the office, maintaining a composed facade. Only when she reached the print room did she dare take deep breaths, her heart racing. That disgusting man had taken advantage of her again. Sending the package to Gu Feibai had been a calculated move on her part, intended to drive a wedge between him and Qiu Xuehu. But judging from what just happened, her plan didn't seem to have the impact she'd hoped' It became clear that the rumors about Qiu Xuehu and Gu Feibai being on good terms were false—nothing but stories crafted by her scheming sister. Even after five years of effort, Qiu Xuehu still hadn’t won Gu Feibai's heart. How entertaining. All Qiu Xueyi had to do was win over Gu Feibai, and Qiu Xuehu would be seething with rage. Efficient and effective. Not a bad plan at all. Meanwhile, a Maybach sped down the road. Qiu Xuehu sat in the backseat, her face twisted with frustration. It had been a long time since she'd encountered such a challenging opponent. Unable to shake the feeling that something was off, she took out her phone and looked at the old photos she had saved. The memory was fresh: heavy stones tied to Qiu Xueyi's feet, her body trapped in a burlap sack. There was no way she could have survived. How could someone look so much like her? Anxiety gnawed at Qiu Xuehu. What gave this Su Fei the confidence to provoke her so boldly? This was a threat she couldn't ignore. “Turn the car around. Take me home,” Qiu Xuehu ordered the driver. Once home, she quickly got out of the car. In the garden, her mother sat gracefully sipping tea and arranging flowers. The housekeeper announced her arrival. “Madam, Miss is back.” Qiu Xuehu's mother frowned. **She doesn't usually come home unless something's wrong.** “Mother!” The moment Qiu Xuehu saw her, a wave of frustration washed over her. She had been pampered her entire life, never having to endure such treatment. “Why are you acting so flustered? Have I not taught you better?” her mother chided, her movements graceful as she set down her teacup, embodying elegance in every gesture. Qiu Xuehu had certainly inherited this poise. “What happened? Why are you in such a rush?” Qiu Xuehu obediently sat beside her mother and recounted everything in detail. But her mother didn't seem particularly concerned. “She's just a mere assistant. Is she worth all this fuss?”
