CHAPTER 3: THE ALPHA 1

Werewolves were being counted as they offered a drop of their blood.
Meanwhile; they all were seated, watching the trial of truth as the both alphas stood before Sheeran_the sage.
"Dear Christian,if you happen to be the alpha of the entire wolves, what will you intend to do with the dagger",the sage asked.
"Honestly, the dagger is just a weapon to me, I'll eliminate the hatred and grudge existing between our kind, creating unity and love among us",he answered stepping forward, towards the sachwasanh's tree.
"Dear Douglar what is your intentions towards the dagger",the elder asked.
"If I eventually have that dagger and become the alpha of the werewolves,then I'll make sure no other werebeast or witches intimidates us, together we'll rewrite the history of the werewolves",he said also stepping forward towards the white sachwasanh's tree.
"Elder! Elder!!", Rackeno ran panting like never before,he was uncontrollably bleeding cause a deep claw scare could be seen in his chest.
"What is it?"the elder asked in much confusion.
"During our hunting,we were attacked by a strange beast,with the horns of a bull".
"Don't worry, let's commence the trial,it won't be able to find us, Nethran is enchanted",the elder assured.
"But you don't understand, thirteen black wolves are in the woods dieing!"Rackeno wailed.
"Black whattt....", Douglar shouted.
"Enough Douglar, Rackeno go to the healer and get well"the elder ordered with a sad look on his face.
"Douglar do you wish to kill this unknown beast and rescue the missing members of your pack?".
"I wish to save them but the crescent dagger, matter more to me now because with it I can save millions", Douglar said.
"Can't you become the alpha without the dagger"Christian asked.
"Enough!",you have no right to interrogate me.
"You know what, I'm going", Christian said drawing out his dirk. "Those men went miles away North, hunting so that our bellies can be full throughout the ritual periods,those men have wives and children,I can't just let them die",he left the exalted platform.
"Could he really risk his life for the black wolves?", Sheeran muttered.
"What is he doing"the pack murmured as Christian jumped upon a white horse with black spots.
"Wait!, walking off now simply means you're quitting",elder Sheeran warned.
Without uttering a word he raced towards the gate. Reaching the gate; he could see the men returning,they were physically unharmed and looked normal.
"Hmmmm is these some sort of trick"Christian and Douglar both taught. People whispered greatly as the sachwasanh's tree leaves started glowing slight blue.
"I guess the sachwasanh has brought them back to us"the elder said raising both his hands as the whole pack started rejoicing.
When everyone has sacrificed a drip of their blood,the sparkling and glittering dagger, with an engraved symbol of the crescent Moon on it was forged;it was called the crescent dagger by Douglar as he had always called it even before it was created.
"Finally, the brown and black wolves are now United", Christian said with much enthusiasm as Douglar passed by.
"Yes it's good news Christian, thanks to you I will be the alpha".
"Hey I did what I have to do"Christian said sipping the dreg of wine in the cup.
Christian walking off the platform was an act of disrespect,he didn't complete the trial of truth which simply means he quitted.
"Hey, this is my little secret, Sheeran is my grandfather"Douglar whispered to his ear.
"The Sheeran I know will never favor anyone just because they are related"Christian said with much anger.
"No one else knows about this just like no one will ever know how he became the sage elder out of the sixty elders in the whole werewolve council,you will definitely have to watch him announce me as the bearer of the crescent dagger" Douglar said confidently.
"Hmmmm , what will become of my pack if you finally become the alpha of the entire wolves"Christian asked
"Well, I'll start clipping their limbs off one by one"he said as his face became a little fierce.
"No matter the amount of strength the crescent dagger can grant you,I will make you crumble Douglar!"Christian threatened, clinging to his dirk.
"We will see who gets to die in the end,he sighed and left.
The ceremony lasted for three nights since it was a densely populated area and on the final night,it was under the full moon that the crescent dagger was to be bestowed to one, between the two alphas,to become the alpha of the entire wolves.
Sheeran received a sign from sachwasanhs, the ancestors seem to gain interest on Christian for taking such decision though secretly it was a test planned by elder Sheeran and the 44th elder Odenn.
Love and care was an act of purity,so sachwasanhs ordered immediate return of Christian back to the game.
It was time, Christian and Douglar stepped forward towards the elder as the werewolves cheered their alphas.
