22 Emily sat looking at the ceiling, counting the imperfections in the nondescript concrete which now surrounded her. Concrete floors. Concrete walls. Concrete ceiling. Even the toilet and bed were made of concrete. A one inch piece of foam served as the “mattress”, Emily’s tiny frame made the whole experience even more insufferable. When she sat on the bed, the bones in her bottom poked the concrete, giving her an immediate migraine. Laying on the bed also served as an exercise in futility as it was only four feet long. Her legs dangled off the edge of the “mattress”, forcing her knees to bend as her toes touched the floor. The only problem?
