11-drugged and dreaming

-Naysha- It was almost midnight. And for some reason she couldn't understand, everyone seemed to be at edge, as if they were expecting something to happen any minute now. Even Anya seemed to be a bit worried, she could see it in her eyes, despite the big smile on her face. She was still trying to catch her breath from her encounter with Seth earlier. It was imposible to get the man out of her mind ever since that passionate kiss they had shared. But it wasn't just that. He was a living breathing puzzle, kissing her on that remote place of the garden and then disappearing once again as soon as there was a chance that one could see them. She wasn't used to behaviours like this, especially from men. Whenever she was on a date with a man before the guys were practically begging to be seen by her side, in hopes of earning even a few minutes of publicity. Seth was the first man she had ever met that wouldn't act like that. Quite contrary, he seemed a bit too eager to keep their attraction a well-kept secret from everyone, even his sister. And for someone that loved and cared about his sister as much as Seth did, this was weird. What if he had a mistress or a girlfriend? She almost broke the glass she was holding at that thought. Never in the past had she been so possesive over a guy, especially a guy that wasn't even hers in the first place. But when it came to Seth, she couldn't recognise her own thoughts. Nor the fact that she was almost unable to think of anything but him. She sighed and emptied her glass. The night was warm and the sky was full of stars. She should be enjoying herself at the party, waiting for the blood moon to rise like everybody else, instead of sitting all alone, obsessing over her friend's brother. She tried to get up from the bench she was sitting, but everything span around her. Everything seemed to be happening so slow all of a sudden. She could feel the blood drain from her face, as her body fought to stay awake.. she should definitely stop drinking, it was obvious that she couldn't hold it. She tried to get up again, holding on to the arms of the bench for support, but as soon as she did everything started spinning again. She fought to keep standing, but the ground was sunking under her feet and she started falling backwards. And then she felt him. His strong embrase and his incredible scent filling the air around her. "I..think..i'm gonna faint.." she whispered and tied her arms around his neck. She couldn't see his face, in fact she could barely see anything, her vision was blurry. "Shh baby, keep your eyes closed. I'll get you to your room". His voice was soft and reasurring and she felt like she was dreaming as he lifted her in his arms and began to carry her inside. "But..i want to see the blood moon.." she mumbled as she burried her face in his neck and breathed in deeply. Her body had almost completely given up. All she could consentrate on was how good he smelled. "You make it so hard for me to be a gentleman right now". His husky voice was like music to her ears. "Don't be. I want..more kisses". She rose her eyes to his face, trying to look at him, but the lights inside the house were too bright. "Too much light!", she complained and burried her face in his neck again. She heard his breath quicken, but he chuckled. "Just one more minute and you'll be in your bed." His tone was so warm and carring, he made her feel so safe. Next thing she knew, she was been lowered from his arms on a soft bed. She groaned at the loss of touch with his body, but the bed was so comfortable. "Don't leave me alone", she whispered as she was slowly falling asleep. She felt his hand caressing her face, tucking a lock of her hair behind her ear. "I could never do that" was the last thing she heard before falling into deep sleep. --""-- She had no idea about what time it was. She could only tell that it was still late at night. Her window was open and the warm night breeze filled the room. She rose slowly, she was still feeling a bit lightheaded. But she was definitely a lot better. She looked at the sky outside. The stars were shining like a million candles. She got up and leaned outside the window in order to look at the moon. And there it was. Huge and red like blood, right at the middle of the sky, like a glorious king on his throne. It was spectacular. And then she heard it. Wolves howling, a lot of them. They didn't seem to be that far, probably in the woods around the castle. She had no idea that there were wolves in Luzano. And then a small movement caught her eye, something moving in the shadows in the garden, outside her window. Her eyesight was still not that clear and her window was many feet higher than the garden, but she was certain that there was something moving around in the shadows. She squinted her eyes, trying to focus. And there it was, a huge black wolf pacing around in the garden, right outside her window it seemed. She shook her head. Don't be crazy, it's probably just a dog strolling around. A big, huge dog, that's all. But then the creature moved a bit closer to the light. There was no doubt, it was indeed a wolf. A huge wolf with thick black fur that was shinning under the moonlight, making it look as if it was drenched in blood. She felt shivers run down her spine. Should she alert someone? But then the wolf rose its head and looked at her direction. If she wasn't still dizzy from the drinking, she would have sworn that it was looking right at her. But it couldn't be, it was a wild animal, not a person. Wild animals didn't make eye contact with people. Although, there was something quite strange about this wild animal. It seemed friendly, even a bit..familiar. She felt like she had seen it before. And when the wolf rose its head towards her and howled loudly as if she was the moon, she didn't feel scared at all. Quite contrary, she felt a sudden urge to run to it and pet it. Was she losing her mind? This was an extremely dangerous wolf twice her size. And she wanted to pet it? She shook her head again. Maybe she was still dreaming, that would be the only reasonable explanation. Dreaming or not, curiosity got the best of her. It was almost leading her steps out of the room and outside in the garden where that wolf was. That voice appeared in her head once again, like a subtle command to get closer to that animal. She exited her room and walked down the stairs as if in a trance, her mind completely empty of any thoughts becide that voice. She reached the entrance to the garden. The night breeze was surprisingly warm and there was a strange smell drifting in the air. To her surprise the garden was empty. Of course, she had no idea of what was the time, but it was probably too late and the party had already finished. She walked around the empty chairs and tables, the garden was so beautiful drenched in that peculiar moon light. And then she saw it. The black wolf that she had seen from her bedroom's window just minutes ago. Up close it was even bigger, far larger than any other wolf she had seen in her life. And far more majestic, she admited. Its fur was shinning and its gaze was so powerful, almost ordering her to bow down to it. But it was still not scary at all. She took a step closer to it, there was something quite inviting in its eyes. At first, the wolf took a few steps back, as if it was afraid of her, but then it stayed in place and let her approach it. She streched out an arm towards its snout and watched in awe as the huge animal lowered eagerly its head, welcoming her touch. Its fur was indeed so soft and thick. The wolf growled loudly at her touch, almost as if it was in pain, but as soon as she stopped caressing it, it begun rubbing its body against her hand. She chuckled. "Well, aren't you the sweetest?" she cooed at it while caressing its warm fur. The wolf growled happily at her touch, wiggling its tail like a puppy. And then all of a sudden it froze in place and started growling aggressively at something behind her. She turned and almost screamed at the sight of a brown wolf growling at her. It wasn't as big as the black one, but it seemed vicious. And about to attack her at any minute.
