-Naysha-
"No". Naysha grabbed him by the arm, before he had the chance to run away, like he always did. "I'm sick and tired of this, Seth!" She almost shouted at him.
This was exactly why she didn't want to give in to his kiss in the first place. It was now so typical of him to invade her personal space, make out with her with such passion , almost as if it was impossible for him to keep his hands to himself around her, and once she would lose herself to him, he would run away.
She still couldn't figure out whether he was teasing her just because he was well aware of how intensly she would react to his presence or if he actually liked her. What kind of person would act like he had maken a massive mistake every time they would lay a finger on the person they liked?
He just stared at her without saying a word.
"I need an explanation. You can't just kiss me and then run away!" she continued in a less furstrated tone.
His expression seemed slightly sader, but it was hard to tell. He slowly raised his hand towards her face and caressed her cheek.
"I'm sorry, princess. I wish I could explain. I wish things were different".
"Then explain!" She grabbed his hand and held it tightly. She clossed her eyes. "Please.." she sighed.
What could he possibly mean by wishing for things to be different? Yes, he lived in this small island, almost on the other side of the world and she had responsibilities and a kingdom waiting for her back home. But there was something that made it almost impossible to imagine a life without him. She wasn't sure if she was in love with him- as crazy as it could be to fall for someone within just a few days- or if it was just a combination of lust and excitement. But somehow she knew that they were ment for more, much more than just secret kisses followed by regret and him running away.
He sighed. "I don't think you could bare my explanations" He had made no effort to take his hand from hers.
"Oh, come on! I'm not a child!" she stomped and he gave her a slightly amused look and a sad side smile. Ok, yes, maybe she was overrreacting a bit, but it was out of furstration. She could't understand how he was able to always remain so calm and unbothered. His eyes were the only thing on him that would betray a slight presence of any emotion, and even that on rare occasions. He was definitely more cut out to be a ruler than she was.
And then it clicked. It was another woman! It had to be, that was the only reasonable explanation. Only this could explain his strange behavior, his secretiveness. The guilt that would fill him after their every intimate moment. He had another woman in his life, someone that probably was far more meaningful to him than she was. Someone that he couldn't bare to lose over a small fling with his sister's friend.
Even the thought of such a possibility was enough to shatter her heart. The air around her was thick all of a sudden, her eyes burning with unshedded tears. There was a lump in her throat, blocking everything, air, tears, words. But she had to know. For the sake of her heart.
"Is it another woman?" Her voice was strange even to her ears. Each word burned her to her very core as it left her mouth.
And then time stopped for what seemed an eternity. All she could do was watch him, holding her breath. He seemed taken aback for a nanosecond, then his expresion stiffened. She didn't need to hear his answer, she already knew when he raised his sad eyes to hers.
"Yes. There is another woman. A woman I'm going to marry" he admitted with a probably pityful look on his face.
She immediately let go of his hand, as if his touch was poisonous. She was now drowning in all these tears that she was barely holding back, but she wouldn't dare cry in front of him. No, that was the last fort of her dignity. She just straightened her back and turned towards the window, putting as much distance as she could between them. "I want you to leave my room" she whispered with a shaky voice.
"Leave now!" she shouted on top of her lungs when she didn't hear him move. She heard his steps and then the door. Only then did she realise that she was clenching her fists so tightly that her nails had dag into her palms. And she collapsed on the floor.
