The Three Gu of the Human Ancestor, the Awakening of Hope

First, he offered his youthful years to nourish the largest of the three Gus, which granted him strength.

With strength, the Human Ancestor's life began to improve. He gained a stable source of food and the ability to protect himself. He was brave and fond of fighting, defeating many Dilemma Beasts. But soon, he suffered setbacks. In the end, he realized that strength was not omnipotent—it needed recovery and rest, and could not be squandered arbitrarily.

Moreover, compared to the entire pack of Dilemma Beasts, his individual strength was far too weak.

After deep reflection, the Human Ancestor decided to offer his prime middle age to nourish the most beautiful of the three Gus.

Thus, the second Gu granted him wisdom.

With wisdom and strength, he once conquered many previously unconquerable targets, killed more Dilemma Beasts, ate their flesh, and drank their blood, surviving tenaciously.

This was because he had offered his youth and middle age to the Strength Gu and the Wisdom Gu.

When one grows old, muscles atrophy, and the mind slows down.

"Human, what more can you give us? You have nothing left to offer," the Strength Gu and the Wisdom Gu said******* and left after realizing this.

Having lost strength and wisdom, the Human Ancestor was discovered by the Dilemma Beasts and surrounded by the pack. He was old, could no longer run, his teeth had fallen out, and he couldn't even chew wild fruits or vegetables.

He collapsed weakly on the ground, surrounded by countless Dilemma Beasts, his heart filled with despair.

At that moment, the third Gu said to him, "Human, offer to me, and I can get you out of this predicament."

The Human Ancestor wept and said, "Gu, what do I have left? Look, the Strength Gu and the Wisdom Gu have abandoned me. All I have is my old age. Compared to youth and middle age, old age is worthless. But if I offer my old age to you, my life will end immediately. Although I'm surrounded by Dilemma Beasts now, I won't die in an instant. I want to live a little longer, even just one more second. So leave, I can't offer you anything."

The Gu said, "Among the three Gus, my demand is the smallest. Human, you just need to give your heart to me."

"Then I'll give my heart to you," the Human Ancestor said. "But Gu, what can you give me? Even if the Strength Gu and the Wisdom Gu come back now, they can't change this desperate situation."
