The shopping excursion takes our friend group several hours. We have found what we are looking for, our Christmas checklists mostly completed. The other girls have their own needs fulfilled. A few extra shirts, dresses, and underwear to add to their closets when they get home. At least I save money by being able to sew my own awesome getup. Though I do wonder what it must be like to walk into a*****e like one owns the place, buying everything at a whim.
We gather for a late lunch at a nearby restaurant. It’s not the highest tier of eatery out there, but they serve food, the portions aren’t gigantic, and at least I have my friends who will pick off my plate for me.
