Chapter Twenty-Two
After Asher and Haden left went back to my room and decided to plan out how I was going to bring up the issue with my birth parents. It still hurts to know that I’ve been lied to. I was starting to get hungry after a while of sitting down with depressing thoughts. I jumped out of bed to look for something to eat since I was still going to be here for a while. I could still remember the times when I would be hungry for some junk food and I would open the fridge to find it stacked with exactly what I wanted. A little perk of being neglected, I tell myself. But now opening the fridge all I could find was vegetables of all kinds and leftover food from only God knows when and an almost empty carton of milk.
