Falling for my fears

Chapter 8: Departure

Kim just came back from hanging out with a few of her friends, she immediately got to her room and was about heading to the Bathroom for a shower when she saw the royal blue dress on her bed with a letter on it.

"Wear it for tonight and look dashing, this dress is worth your smile" The letter from Mom

"Aww, it looks so beautiful, I can't wait to try it on" She said as she immediately filled the bath tub with water and soap.

Twenty minutes later, she came out of the bathroom and wore the dress, it hugged her body and shape, her stylist was called by her Mom to take care of her hair and makeup. Kim was looking so beautiful and gorgeous.

A knock was heard on her door, "Are you ready? We should be there by eight thirty" Mom said.

Kim opened the door and the stylist slightly bowed before leaving. Mom was speechless and in awe.

"You look so beautiful, oh, my daughter ( hugs her and looks at her again)"

Blushing, "Thanks, mom, let's get going it's a twenty minutes drive from here, I bet the driver is waiting and it's way past eight"

"Ah, you are right, let's get going ( Walks with Kim) you are going to get a lover this night, I can't wait to see who my son in-law is, I will definitely attend your wedding"

"Its a must for you to attend or you will be sued( Chuckles) I will make sure of it"

"Oo, I don't want to be sued by the queen, I shall definitely make it to your wedding" Chuckles with Kim

"Mom" Kim said as they got in the car. They talked and talked about different things, they even both took pictures together.

"We are here, ma'am" The driver said as he opened the door and helped Kim out before her mom.

" Here is as beautiful as I remembered" Kim said as she walked in with her mom.

" I got the VIP for my daughter and I" Mom told the person who came to attend to them.

" Yes ma'am. Mrs and Ms Cheng, please follow me" He said and led the way.

The place looks so big and expensive. Kim was in awe cus she hasn't been to the restaurant but orders from here.

" Thanks" Kim said as she sat on her chair then he bowed a little and left.

"So what do we get? How about wine? And some bulgogi with matsutake mash, and also Sinsello with ramen?" Mom suggested.

"I love your suggestion, let's go for it" Kim said so happily

Her mom then tapped on the screen built in the table.

"We will be served Soon"

"This place is nice...... Can I ask a question? (Mom nods) What is your real name? I know you've told me but I can't seem to remember"

"Oh, well my name is actually Mi-Cha" She said almost sad.

"I know it sounds weird for a daughter to be asking her mom that, I just don't really know about my parents, I want to get to have a great relationship with my mom, I want us to be very close, I am sorry for the way the question came but I just had to" Kim tried to explain herself.

"I understand dear" Mi-Cha said, then a waiter and waitress came to serve. It looked so good and had a good scent .

When they were done, they bowed a bit and left.

"Dig in" Mi-Cha said as Kim smiled and took chop sticks for the ramen.

"I'm going to miss you so much, I promise to get you something while coming back" Mi-Cha said.

"You mustn't get anything, just come back safely and cute" Kim said as she smiled.

"I definitely will" Mi-cha said as she started eating. Just then, Kim's eyes caught someone. Hyun-woo.

"Who are you staring at?(Turns and immediately looks at Kim then continues eating) is he the guy you've been crushing on for three months? I remember you describing him"

"Yes, he's the one but I can see he's with someone else" Kim said sadly.

"Do you know what I advice you? Kill that feeling because he's not for you, if he's for you, he would have felt the connection and made a move but he didn't so I advice you as a mother to kill that feeling before it kills you, I want my daughter to be happy always" Mi-cha tried to cheer her daughter up.

"You are right Mom, thanks" Kim Forced a smile as she continued eating.

Kim couldn't stop giving Hyun-woo and his date a glance as she talked with her mom to catch up on things. It really hurts her to see him with another lady.

"Can I excuse myself? I'll be back, I'm heading to the ladies" Kim said then her mom nodded and she left.

When she got to the ladies, she looked at the mirror. ' why can't he just notice me and fall in love with me? And now he's with someone else? I think mom is right, I'll have to drop the feelings in a volcano' She thought.

She adjusted her hair, dress, makeup and confidence before heading out. She then saw Hyun-woo. She tried to ignore him and pass until he said.

" You look beautiful and amazing tonight" He gave her a side look before leaving.

She froze before turning to look at him leaving. She blushed and got herself together before going to meet her mom to avoid questions.

" I'm back" Kim said as she sat down, she also noticed Hyun-woo was gone and the girl wasn't there too.

Kim and her mom ate, drank wine before before leaving. It was getting late.

Once Kim got to her room, she pulled her dress and shoes,wore a robe and slept smiling.

Waking up, Kim sat on her bed yawning and stretching then the thought of her mom traveling this morning made her awake fully and rushed downstairs.

She sighed and tears welled up in her eyes when she saw the servant taking her mom's bag to the car.

"Mom( Ran to hug her) I'll miss you so much, even if we just started our mother-daughter relationship afresh, I feel like there's still so much i need to learn From you and so much love I am yet to take, I feel like I'm living again( Looks at her mom) I need my mother's love and care" Kim said as tears still dropped.

Pecked her forehead, " I will give you all the love you deserve, you are my only child, my only daughter, you are like a reflection of me, I wouldn't desert you, I will be with you no matter what" Mi-cha said.

Kim tried to smile, then her mother pecked her forehead and left, Kim slowly walked behind and watched as her mom entered the car, they kept eye contact with each other till the car left the gate.

Kim ran into the house to her room, sat on her bed in tears, her phone rang but she couldn't even look at it. " I miss you mom, I wish we had this connection between us even when Dad was still.... dad"
