Chapter 3: Why, Dad?

Kim woke up with a migraine, she winced in pain. Remembering what happened the previous night, she immediately sat up and looked around, frowned her face and stood up.

" What the heck? I'm in my room? H.... How? I am sure I left this house last night, there's no way that was a dream.....(Combs her hair with her fingers and bends down, she holds both side of her hair with her hand in annoyance and fear of what happened) Ah!!!!!! No, it's not a dream, I am sure I parked my car outside the school's compound and I jumped the low loose fence, I saw werewolves. ..... What happened?!!!!!!! Ahhhhhh!!" Kim screamed

" Darling,(opens the door and sees her daughter on the floor) Darling, what is it? what happened?" Her mother asked with a lot of concern written on her face, she raised Kim up from the floor and sat her on the bed.

"Mom ...... " Kim looked into her mother's eyes.

" What is wrong, Kimi" Mother asks, Kim was about to talk but thought.

' Will she believe me? She will just calm me down but she won't believe me, there's no use telling her ' Kim thought

"Talk to me" Her palms on Kim's face. " It was a nightmare, mom. A nightmare." Kim then hugged her mom tightly and mom hugged her back.

" It's okay, dear. It's okay, you are with me now, besides I did speak with your dad, he told me that he loves you and he has prepared a special thing for you in Germany, he also said to tell you that, you shouldn't worry much, he's fine" As she said, she looked at Kim who was now smiling.

" Really? Aww, I do miss him actually (tears drop down her eyes) I even missed him when we were together, he started becoming distant from me and from you. I refused to say anything but I can't hold the feeling back again, it's eating me up, mom, it's eating me deep (she crys)"

" No matter what, he loves you and that is the comfort you need, you are his fruit and his own, he became like that because of the work load, he still loves you, Kimi"

" That's not true, it's not true, he says he loves me but all he does for the past three years is just to buy or give whatever I ask, he refused to speak with me, he refuses to even collect birthday gifts from me, he doesn't even remember my birthday and he refuses to even answer my call or video call, I am sick of this, I am dying inside, Dad has been my best friend and he has always been there for me, we would go to parks, restaurants, I could even come to his workplace to see him, he would play with me and you know, he bought me this charm bracelet for my eighteenth birthday, it was my favorite piece of jewelry cus he also left a note on it, but now I don't wear it anymore, I don't even look at it cus it makes me cry, it makes me cry, mom" Kim poured her heart out.

Her mother was speechless and also in tears, all she could do was hug her heartbroken daughter, ' I am so sorry, Kimi. This is all my fault, my mistake, I am sorry it affected you like this' Her mother thought.

" Everything will be fine, it will go back to the way it was, I promise on my life, everything will be better........ okay?" Mom said, Kim gently nodded but sobbed.

" Why don't you get ready for school? You have lectures today by ten and it's almost nine" Checks the clock and looks at her daughter's red teary face.

" I love you, mom" Kim said. Her mom placed a hand on her chest and opened her mouth lightly, smiling sadly and her breath calm.

" I love you too, Kimi" She smiled fully, which made Kim smile as well.

" You can go now mom, I want to take my bath, I don't want you to see me nakey" Kim said which made her mom laugh as she left and closed the door.

Sigh, she looked at the bracelet " Why, dad" Kim said before heading to the bathroom
