After having a shower and getting ready I made my way to Alyssa's dorm room to pick her up and head to the beach when I bumped into Jen. Here we go.
"Hey, Trey. Congrats on the win today." She said in the fakest voice I've ever heard.
"Yeah, thanks, bye." I said hastily before trying to rush off when she grabbed my arm.
"Don't start, Jen. I got somewhere to be."
I could see the thunder in her eyes.
"To Alyssa." The words fell out of her mouth like venom out of a snakes mouth.
She had a sudden change in her appearance before trying to wrap her arms round my neck and pulling me down for a kiss. I gently pushed her back, and held her there by the arms.
"Jen, stop. You're making a show of yourself. I'm not interested and I never will be. Me and you? Whatever we had is done with."
"Are you still going to feel the same way at the bonfire?"
"Yes."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Okay, well tell Alyssa I got a surprise for her when she gets there." She said with a vicious smirk before sauntering off.
"If you do anything to show her up or make her feel bad, I swear I will handle you myself." I warned her.
"She's going to love it." She sneered before turning the corner and disappearing.
WTF. Jack was right, this b***h is a psycho. I continued on my way to get Alyssa, I just knew I had to keep her close tonight whether she liked it or no, I had no idea what Jen was capable of, especially towards someone who she saw as a threat, someone who had my full attention like she never did.
I knocked on Alyssa's door and within seconds she answered. My jaw dropped, and my eyes wandered over her perfect figure that was on full display tonight. Her white bikini halter neck bra tied behind her neck and held her perfect, round, perky breasts up, as my eyes drew down, she had on a white ankle length skirt that had a slit up one side leading to her hip, with a pair of white heels on that strapped round her ankle and up her leg. She was beyond breath taking at this point, I've never, in my life being so speechless at a girls appearance before but something about Alyssa had me addicted.
"Wow, Parkes. You should really come with a warning label." I rubbed the back of my neck feeling like a nervous d**k.
"I'm trying to remember when I asked for your opinion, Lake." She sassily replied.
Here we go again with our back and forth like we don't wanna rip each others clothes off and have s*x right here in front of anyone who walks by.
"You're starting early? Is your brain on a break because that come back was pathetic."
"You're brains always on a break that's why your mouth works overtime."
She walks out into the hall, closing and locking the door behind her. We walk side by side down the hall, down the stairs, out the entry and into my car.
I start the engine up but I can't help looking at her with a smile on my face.
"What you looking at, ass hat?" She sassed me.
"Oh please, I've been called worse by better."
"Good story, what chapter do you stop talking?"
"I'm the main character, Sugar."
"Yeah, it's a tragedy about your life."
"Ohh you're on fire today, Parkes. Must be all the hanging around me you do."
"I'm sorry, I have better things to do than listen to you."
"Like staring at me?"
"Like pretending you don't exist."
"How's that working out for you?"
"Ugh. You do know you're the human version of period cramps, don't you?"
"And you do know you're the human version of blue balls, don't you."
"Cause you know you can't get any of this." She said sliding her hands slowly down her body with a smirk on her face.
I grabbed her by her jaw and pulled her an inch away from my lips.
"Stop playing games with someone who plays them better."
"Or?"
I slammed my lips against hers and held her tight enough that she couldn't move away from me. I slipped my tongue into her sweet tasting mouth and playful wrestled with it, we both fought for domination, she sucked on my tongue before I gently bit on her bottom lip earning a gasp to escape her mouth. She was so f*****g sexy it made me tingle.
"I ain't letting you out my sight tonight."
"You don't really get a say in that, Lake."
Then she pulled away and strapped her seatbelt on with a victory smile.
"You're cruel, Parkes." I laughed as I shook my head.
I drove us to the beach that was flooded with crowds of people. This party has always been a popular one, it wasn't far from campus and with it being off campus, it gave us all a real reason to misbehave. A lot of scandals and a lot of secrets get made at this party, all the more for VD to gossip about. People never learn.
I took Alyssa's hand in mine as we darted in and out between people heading straight for the bonfire where we had planned on meeting everyone. We got different looks left, right and centre because we came together, and we were holding hands.
"Hey, there you guys are, we've been waiting for you!" Nadine called out already tipsy as she draped her arms around Alyssa's neck.
"Well someone got started without me." Alyssa joked with her holding her up.
I walked over to Josh, Nick, Jack and Brett who were stood next to the bonfire in the middle of a conversation.
"Yes, Trey, my man." Josh giddily greeted me.
"How's it hanging bro." I greeted him back, giving him a hand slap into a man hug.
Nick looked at me like he was studying me, I guess he didn't like the fact I came here with his little sister, but what was I supposed to do? I want her so I'm going to play to get her.
"Trey, come, wanna have a chat with you." Nick said waving for me to follow him before he walked off.
"OOOOO. Watch your back bro." Josh mimicked.
I followed Nick towards to ocean and stood across from him with a beer in each of our hand and our eyes out to sea. He remained silent but I felt weird to f**k, I had no idea what he wanted but I had a funny feeling it was to do with Alyssa.
"Everything good?" I asked with a shrug.
"Me and you are mates, correct?"
"Yeah, correct."
"And you know I love my baby sis, right?"
"Right."
"Now, I made a deal with her that I'd stay out her business and let her do what she's doing, but I gotta say what I gotta say so I know she's protected."
"I get that. Nick, man, I ain't gonna do nothing to Alyssa that's gonna hurt her. I know you're thinking I'm a shady guy who has the pick of any girl, but Alyssa, man." I drew out my sentence. "Alyssa's something else. She's real, and raw. Witty and bright, she's beautiful, and sexy, and her personality is wicked man, she's not like another girl for a notch on my bed post, she's the real deal, as long as she lets me in, I'll do whatever I can to make her happy."
He looked at me confused for a second, like I just spat out some ingenuous words and numbers that no one could understand.
"You really mean it don't ya?" He said with furrowed eye brows.
"I do, I really do. She's special, bro. And y'know with everything going on with my dad and with the whole teacher thing, she makes me feel like I can actually take a f*****g breath, like I ain't suffocating myself under water. But I don't want that to destroy us, you're my boy, and we've been through some s**t no one knows about, y'know, but apart of me can't let her go."
"I like you, Trey, we're boys, and I respect you being honest with me. I just want to know my sister is safe with you. I don't want you to use her and make her feel unworthy. She's a good girl, but she's got some issues and whether she tells you or not, I know that girl likes you, that's why I'm having this conversation with you now."
We both stop for a minute and look over at Alyssa who's sat with Josh, Nadine and Amy, laughing, giggling, joking around with them all, then I see her suddenly grab on to the charm on the necklace I give her, it warms my heart up, something I've never left before which made me know this was something real, that she was it for me.
"Get her bro, you have my blessing. Just don't hurt my sister or I will hurt you."
We both laugh and clink our bottles together before heading back over to where everyone was.
"Hey, where did you go?" Alyssa asked me with a smile on her face.
"Just talking." I smiled back at her before wrapping my arm around her shoulder pulling her close to me.
"Trey." She quietly gasped. "My brothers over there." She nodded to where Nick was stood.
"Don't worry, Nick's all good."
"He is?" She looked at me confused, then over to Nick who held his bottle in the air at her. "What the f**k?"
"Don't think about it too much, just enjoy the night."
As the night went on, we we're all pretty drunk now and having the best time together. I spent most of it with Alyssa until she went off with the girls to dance. I stood back and watched her, drinking my beer when Jack approached me.
"What did Nick want?" He stood next to me watching Alyssa the same as me.
"Nothing for you to worry about."
"Why you acting so secretive?"
"I ain't. It's between me and him."
"So it was about Alyssa?"
"What's it to do with you. Come on, Jack. You're always so interested in me and Alyssa, yet you're so against me getting with her."
"Just being a mate, I don't want you to get distracted and f**k this up for all of us, her brothers included."
"Speaking of her brothers, where's Theo?" I asked as I looked around for him.
"He's gone to meet Leon, then he'll be back."
"He's gone alone?"
"Yeah, he's cool, don't worry, Princess."
"You're an ass, Leon is dangerous, you should of sent someone with him."
"Well I was gonna ask you but you was too busy with cheerleading barbie over there."
"Don't. Just don't go there, Jack."
I walked off to be with Alyssa, I said I wouldn't let her out my sight because I didn't know what Jen had in store for her and nor did I want to know. She was all kinds of f****d up and I wouldn't put it past her to have Alyssa set up, and I was walking over to her I saw a guy I've never seen before in my life approach her. Alyssa's face drained from colour, she remained still like a statue, I don't know whether she was scared or surprised. Either one she ain't too happy about it.
"Lyss? You okay?" I asked her as I took her into my arms.
"Who are you?" The random guy asked me.
"Who are you?" I repeated after him with a defensive tone.
"Dan."
