Manon walked in a shiny and clean estate building, punching in the pass code as the door slid open. She dragged her luggage into the apartment closing the door behind her.
“Oh Manon baby, is that you?” Megan, Manon's best friend yelled immediately she heard someone punching in the key. She had just returned from work when Manon said she needed a place to stay.
Megan could here the dejection and sadness in her voice and didn't want to question her. She looked at her friend who immediately slumped to her knees, tears rolling down her cheeks as she cried.
“Oh my darling” Megan was quick to join Manon on the floor, pulling her into a warm embrace as she allowed her cry.
“A-after everything I did for him, he still had the audacity to cheat on me with that God forsaken girl I call my junior sister” Manon said as Megan stopped stroking her back. Megan stood up as she matched angrily to the kitchen, picking a butchering knife as she pulled a coat over her body.
“Megan, where are you going?” Manon asked seeing Megan who was ready to leave.
“I'm going to teach that bastard not to mess with my best friend. Maybe cut off and arm or two” Megan said, her eyes darkened as she approached the door.
Manon knew her friend would be crazy at times. She stood up as she weakly went to grab Megan's arm.
“Don't, I know what he did is wrong but just stay here and comfort me, I have no mind whosoever to go back to him” Manon said as Megan glanced at her lazily but ended up rolling her eyes as she threw her coat away dropping the knife on a table as she left Manon back to the couch.
“I'd back down just because of you. You can stay here till you get your priorities straight. Okay?” Megan said but Manon just hugged her.
“Thank you best” Manon said as she leaned into Megan's frame trying to fall asleep even though it was for a minute.

Lucinda frowned as she walked into her family's house, her father and mother were seated in the couch as they enjoyed some soap operas but today she wanted to put Manon in her place, once and for all.
“Mom, dad!” She cried as she immediately bursted into the room. Mrs Brown looked at her youngest child who had tears running town her cheeks with a frown.
“Who made my baby upset and why are you clutching your arm like that?” Mrs Brown stood up as she walked towards her daughter, yanking her hand away from the spot she was covering only to see a medium sized cut caused from a very sharp knife.
“M-mom, please don't get upset. It was elder sister Manon that did this” Lucinda cried that even her father stopped what he was doing and looked at her.
Mr Brown didn't like getting involved with anything concerning Manon but her hurting his princess was just unacceptable.
“What pushed her to do this to you?” Me Brown asked knowing Manon wouldn't hirt her without a reason.
“I-i, Jonathan happened to fall in love with me and earlier today which is their anniversary got a text from an unknown source who sent him immoral pictures of him and sister Manon. She got upset that I had stolen her husband from her or rather made him send her away and lunged at it”
Lucinda cried and Mr Brown's frown deepened, not only was his eldest daughter shameless but she had the audacity to hurt Lucinda. He grabbed his phone as he dialed Manon's like immediately.
Manon who had finally fallen asleep was woken up by the ringing on her phone, seeing it was her father, she ignored it as she changed positions closing her eyes.
“Why does this man always have to call at the wrong time? She groaned but the endless ringing didn't allow her sleep. She ended up picking the call immediately.
“You unfilial daughter. You didn't want to pick my call at first. That's not the reason I'm calling you, I want you back home for dinner as soon as possible. Don't be late” with that Mr Brown hung up.
Manon didn't get to say a word and the old man just decided to hang up. She glanced at the clock and realized she had 45 minutes more.
Groaning, she jumped out of bed and into the shower to freshen up. After having a cool shower and relaxing her muscles, she put on a white satin dress that really made her skin look more charming and silky. Her hair was left to fall loosely behind her back and she applied soft make-up on, grabbing her purse and phone she left her room.
“Aren't you going to have dinner?” Megan yelled as she saw Manon heading for the door.
“I would love to but it's urgent. Family issues” with that Manon was out the door. Megan shook her head pitying her best friend silently.
Manon arrived at the Brown Villa and was let in by the butler who gave her the stink eyes before leading her to the living room where Mr and Mrs Brown were seated not to forget Lucinda's whose eyes were as red as bell pepper’s.
“Mom, Dad” Manon greeted as she was about taking her seat when her father slammed his wooden cane on the floor.
“Don't you even try it. You have been so shameful and disgraceful since your mother gave birth to you. Why do you have to be so cruel to your younger sister?” Mr Brown yelled as Manon straightened herself casting a brief glance at Lucinda who avoided her gaze.
“And what did crime have I committed this time, father?” Manon was extremely shocked her parents had chose to believe Lucinda over her.
Maybe Lucinda was always meant to be their kid, not her.
“Shut up your mouth. Go to the middle of the room and kneel till we have decided your punishment” Mr Brown said shocking Manon to the bone.
