CHAPTER 2

^ JAYSON Train Wreck by Jaymes Arthur blasted in my ear phones as I pounded down my favorite route doing my early morning run before starting another boring and tiresome day at work. After the run, I was welcomed with a cup of black coffee from Mrs. Jones my housekeeper just how I liked it. She was the only one close enough to know who I really was because she always there for me during my childhood days and watched me grow so when I became independent I asked her to move to my house. And Yes.. you guessed right. I'm independent because I didn't want to continue in my father's business or have anything to do with him. I really hate and detest him. His actions made me who I really am. He showed me that love was only a weakness and should not be felt because it would only lead to disaster, pain, anguish. He not only showed but also always summoned my brothers and I into his study to educate us on what he called.."the woes of love" and we all grew to believe it thus our attitude towards women though I don't regret it. I only pitied my mother who was tied down with him and couldn't leave him because she loved him so dearly which he never reciprocated. Rather he paraded the city with different kind of women be it brunettes, blondes or even red-haired women. While my Mon just endured everything even when she could leave and never look back. I really love and adore my mom a lot she is still the only reason I visit home once every month that woman deserves the world. After having the black coffee, I had my shower while reminiscing on today's activities and how to cope with being around people. I turned off the faucet and tied a towel round my waist and stepped into my closet to pick an outfit. I had meetings today with international personalities who were willing to partner with my company so I decided on a black suit, cufflinks to match, black trousers and black dress shirt. I had just put on my shoes when my phone pinged with a message which read: "Do not forget my birthday, be there @7:00pm at the Briggs Hotel, bye. Of course nat's birthday was coming up I would do well to remind my PA to pick a gift for her. As I thought about that the elevator pinged to let me know that I had reached my destination.
