Damian fell silent hearing Kaye’s response. She looked like she was still scared but her words were stern as an iron. It was enough to tell him that it was the end of the road for them.
In spite of the whole thing, Damian didn’t want to let go of her memory. He enjoyed her company and he would miss her smiles. Although most of them were only induced. Guessed the saying ‘You reap what you sow’ was an actual thing.
“I know you want me gone as soon as possible. Don’t worry since I’ll be off your hair once this is all over,” Damian declared with a sad low voice.
