Kaye rushed to the upper floor of the train station. She already heard the train whistling which was an indication that it would leave soon.
She glanced at her watch and she could tell that the train would be leaving in thirty minutes. She had to hurry since she was late leaving the cafe. After the lunch rush, she left the cafe for Stef and Stella. She didn’t want to miss Keith’s send-off to college.
Good thing though that she had her bike. After all, the train station was the farthest place from the ocean. It would take almost an hour if someone was to walk from there.
“Thank God I made it.”
Kaye was huffing as soon as she arrived at the platform. She sloppily parked her bike and ran to the stairs. She at least wanted to leave some words to Keith before he leaves.
