“So…. what do you all think?” Kaye asked obviously prolonging her words in anticipation.
“Oh my!” Stella leaped in surprise after taking a bite of the cake Kaye had brought in. “I didn’t expect the strawberry puree inside. I imagined it similar to our fruit sandwiches.”
“I agree on using the pound cake instead of the usual sponge cake.”
“I agree, Pops.” Jenny chuckled in agreement with Stef. “The piece I ate just melted on my mouth together with the puree and cream. The velvety texture of the pound cake made the whole thing so much better. Perhaps the next time, avoid using such big a*s whole strawberries for the toppings. It looks crowded. If we have no other, then maybe slice them to bits to come up with a better presentation.”
