You sit,” Athena ordered. “Dinner’s nearly ready.” “But the doctor said it was just a mild concussion,” Laurel protested. “And a sprained shoulder,” Logan added. “Sit.” She started to push up from the sofa. “Then I’ll help Sebastian with the evening feeding.” “Nope.” The man himself leaned over to brush a kiss to her temple. “You are officially off-duty. I’ll be back in a little bit.” Laurel had the sense that the last bit was as much a warning to her father as a promise to her.
