THE COME BACK

Survival

Ned was in coma for 3 months and 2 weeks. When he finally woke up, he saw himself in a house and a girl on a sofa chair sleeping. He tried getting up but couldn’t so he shouted which woke the girl up.

Ned: who are you? And what am I doing here? How did I even get here? Where am I?

Katherine: I know you aren’t yourself but I answer all your questions if you just calm down and listen.

(Ned settling down on the bed he woke up from)

Katherine: am Katherine…. I guess you're Ned….

Ned: what happened to me?

 Katherine: you can’t remember what happened?... You were shot by some group of men I guess your colleagues 3 months ago and my brother Simo found you and brought you here... this is where we live.

Ned: where is he?

Katherine: off to work… you should be hungry will get you something to eat …

She went to the kitchen and prepared food for him because it was almost evening around 4:57 pm. He ate the food that Katherine passed to him and laid back and slept off.

It was 8:35 pm when he woke up, Simo was at home.

Simo: you up… thank God you back

Ned: you’re the Simo… your face looks familiar

Simo: we work in the same company but different department

Ned: so what really happened to me?

Simo: This will explain better

(Showing him the video on how he was shot)

Ned was shocked on seeing the video and busted into tears. He couldn’t believe he could make it out alive after the incident. So he asked;

Ned: who else knows am alive and who else has this video?

Simo: No one except else.

Ned: Thank you for saving me… I own you one

Simo: man it’s nothing… I know you would do the same for me… well the main key workers are my sister and the doctor who operated on you.

Ned: thank you, Katherine…

Katherine: it’s fine… thank God you back to life because when it got to the second month and you haven’t woken up I was worried thinking we lost you.

Ned: Am glad you didn’t give up on me.

Simo: It’s already 9:48 pm you have to take this d**g… the doctor said whenever you wake up we should give it to you.

As days pass Ned's health kept improving and he keeps getting strong again. He never left the house for 2 months and there indoor he was working on his papers to fly out of the country.

It’s been 6 months since Ned got missing and calm to be dead by people. On the eve night before he traveled out of the country to Canada which he stayed the rest of the 6months remaining before going over to the USA where he found a job. Ned took the video which was the evidence of the shooting from Simo’s phone and deleted it from the phone without Simo noticing. Simo got to the office the next day after seeing Ned off to the airport both with his sister Katherine. During the day Simo left his phone on his desk and went to get his lunch across the road when he arrived back he saw victor with his phone watching a video clip, when Simo came in he was in shock as he took the phone and scolded at him;

Simo: victor never will you try the s**t you did now… never you hack into my phone for any reason

Victor: take it easy man … just watching this joke here… and point of correction your phone was open when I saw it.

As they were talking Leo walked in on them and asks;

Leo: what the hell is going on here?

Simo walked out on them with his phone

Victor: it’s nothing sir… just a misunderstanding

Leo: better settle it before we close for the day

Victor: no problem sir

When Simo got home after work he went through his phone for the video but couldn’t see it. So he asked his sister but it was not her so he asked Ned on w******p and he confirmed he was the one due to his safety. Simo had to narrate what happened at the office.

After 3 years of Ned's disappearance, Mr. Philip went on retirement and Leo was made the manager of The Philips construction complex and also the manager of Philips Oil & Gas Company. It was a kind of new revolution for these companies and Leo took over, new rules, new policies which affected their customers and workers. Some were sacked and some demoted. He employed his relatives and friends.

 When Ned heard the news of Leo been made the manager he was a bit angry. He had a plan to deal with Leo. He remembers that Leo loves women so much that he can spend his last cash. Ned opened a female account on f*******:. Using a friend he really in the f*******: wall. After a month he sent Leo a friend request and Leo accepted it.

They began to chat and it went on till Ned started sending in voice notes using a female voice translator. After a month Leo started calling on video calls which Ned always decline claiming it hard to c***k. So one day Ned texted;

 Ned: I will be free tonight for the video call… I guess you are free too

Leo: yeah… sure am free

By 4:45 pm in Nigeria Ned started a video call which was answered by Ned’s friend whose picture was on the profile wall. They both had a good time conversation. It’s was 10 pm in the US so she said to him that she has to sleep for work tomorrow that it’s after 10 pm. Leo said to her ‘Good night sweetheart’ and she smiled and ended the call.
