Ned didn’t make many friends because he knew no one is meant to be trusted. After four years of service, Mr. Philip found Ned as a guy whom he can trust in business and one who will deliver at any time, so he brought Ned to one of their laundry bulk oil and gas meeting, alongside our business associate from abroad and overseas in the person of Mr. Kane from USA and Comrade. Edward from Nigeria and Kofi from Ghana. Leo who was Mr. Philip’s right-hand man was also present with his boys.

Ned was welcomed into the family and the company and the plague to be faithful and work hard for the betterment of the company. It wasn’t hard for Ned to adopt the system of the game in the company because he has lived a street and thug life before, so he was doing just fine as he was excepted to do.

His tireless service and transparency in the business got the company huge contracts that worth millions of dollars and the company kept progressing and Mr. Philip pleaded with him and made him an overseer of foreign investors. Ned was delighted and thanked Mr. Philip for the privilege, but Ned didn’t know he stepped on some people's toes when he accepted the offer which others have been admiring to get.

Leo was the right-hand man of Mr. Philip in terms of security and in the oil and gas business. Leo has wanted to occupy the position of the overseer of foreign investors haven worked for the company and Mr. Philip for 12 years before Ned joined them. He took it as if it was his birthright to own.

Leo started making things difficult for Ned, but all his effort didn’t stop Ned but made him push and work hard which made foreign investors like him and also do business with them. Ned's persistence and commitment made Mr. Philips Construction Company win the best construction company in Nigeria for the second time since 2002, and was recognized worldwide. Leo's hatred grows as Ned was named best staff of the year and was given an award of excellence.

One faithful Monday Mr. Philip as they always have meeting and prayers sections in the company before work activities, Mr. Philip said to them; 

Mr. Philip: I want to thank God for the success of this company right from time and also for giving us, Ned... And want to appreciate everyone for their service… I want to use this media to inform you all I will be retiring as the MD of this company and someone else is going to take my place but before then…I want my last service here to be superb, with all hands on deck we can achieve more... Thanks for your time... We may now retire to our offices.

Everyone starts buckling up, dotting their I, and crossing their T. Making sure every duty and Project at their doorsteps are been treated and carried out with caution and seriousness.

One sunny day, Leo had a secret meeting with his boy, tell them the effect and disadvantage it will cause them if Ned is been made the MD. So he tabled down his plan on how to eliminate Ned, taking him out of the picture.
