Case 2: The Hangman Execution Part 2

Scarlet let him come inside her house, Aron gaze at the woman that let him inside her home, then he take on her surroundings, her scent is all over the place, for some reason his Dragon wants nothing more than to mark his territory inside her home, on her body and soul, telling people that she belongs to him, but Aron knows better than that, if he tries to even get near her she would cut his balls out and sell them as bulls testicles, either way he is here for business, not pleasure. Scarlet let him know that she is going to change, as she walks toward her room, her Dragon makes her feel funny, she has the desire to jump on him and let him have her in any way he wants, but she knows better to let her guard down with him, so she push her desire in the back of her mind and changes clothing.

Scarlet and Aron are walking around the city aimlessly, as they discus on what Aron’s theory is, it turns out that he believes that someone close to him, murder the girl for jealousy and then kill J.J Champ for love.

“That is possible, but when need solid proof that she is near those two or not” said Scarlet

“What about a skin test DNA, both victims scrape the killer” ask Aron

“Could be enough proof if I can get a DNA sample from each and every employee that work near him, and there are more than 15 maybe 20 peoples around him, not to mention the fact that he has a huge fan network” answer Scarlet

“And the Jasmine scent?” ask Aron

Scarlet place her pointer and thumb fingers on her chin as she started to mutter, she closed her eyes as she became more irritated, then an image pass her mind, when she was working overtime in the lab, she had to watch the video imagines that Aron’s team brought, then she remember seeing a young man passing by the crime scene three time, then at the forth he runs away frighten.

Scarlet snap her fingers “I got it!”

Aron jump at her reaction, then he got confuse “You got what?”

“Is obvious, there is a guy that passes that alley every day, on the fourth time I saw him, he panic and ran away, he might had saw the killer, also you guys smelled like jasmine ever since you came to my lab two days ago...” explain Scarlet

Aron sniff himself “Is faint but the smell is still there” said Aron

“...That is because you were exposed to a high dose of it, but imagine someone that was exposed long enough to make the scent her own. If we can get just a tissue on the murder, we might find our murder and solid evidence on her” finish Scarlet

Aron smile at her, telling her what a good job she made, Scarlet felt her heart skip a beat, she has to admit that she miss his smile, but she knows that she won’t be able to smile for him anymore, after all, Aron betray Scarlet in a way.

As the sun rises on the horizon, both Aron and Scarlet enter the agency, Nicolas and Otto for some reason are shock to see these two walking inside without Scarlet tearing Aron’s throat out. Scarlet knows that the Jasmine scent on the three of them has a few more days to wear off, and they can’t wait for it, so she gets inside the lab with Nicolas, she walks over her office and opens a hidden passage way, Nicolas enter her office as she removes her lab coat and her glasses.

“I knew they were for show” said Nicolas from behind

“Aron Knows that I had bad eye sight ever since I was a kid, if he finds out that I can see perfectly well, he’ll soon realize that I am the missing link to the team” answer Scarlet

“Link? or Dragon? You are after all the Black Dragon, so what are you going to do?” ask Nicolas

“Those three sense of smell is going to be useless as long as they all smell the same, but with someone that is not expose to the Jasmine smell, is going to be easy, that is why I am going to collect the last piece of the evidence and draw the murder out” said Scarlet as she hides her lower part of her face with a black mask

Nicolas takes on Scarlet’s appearance, she has a tight shoulder-less black body suit, she has high knees black boots, a Red scarf , her arms are cover with long shoulder gloves and her ‘ninja’ mask on, not to mention that her eyes from light brown turn Purple iris. Nicolas also notice that her fingers are expose, he shows worry that they might get to her faster than lightning speed

“Don’t worry the shadow that I step or touch erase my finger prints, in other words they won’t know that is me” answer Scarlet as she throws a ear plug “Keep me updated on every move that the enemy does and on those idiots” she said as she goes inside the tunnel

Nicolas got surprise “You knew?”

Scarlet grins “Of course I knew, what, aren’t you the world’s greatest hacker in the network?”

Nicolas nods, then he place the ear plug on his right ear as Scarlet’s place hers on the left, Nicolas close the tunnel and sat on his computer, as he started to hack on the main frame of the building J.J Champ used to work, also he has video feed on the other Dragons

Scarlet jump toward the building, she report to Nicolas that she has arrived and that she is on the roof, Nicolas guide her toward the main office, where Scarlet arrived, she open the drawers and login in the computer, Scarlet search high and low for any evidence, then a pinch of jasmine scent came close to her, she turn toward the door, she jump high enough and on the darkest corner so that the intruder (besides her) can’t see her. The door open and there it stood and there standing on the room is none other than Lidia Manson, J.J Champ’s agent, Scarlet took at silent sniff on the room and the jasmine sent is stronger on her, she remain in the corner, observing her target, then the door open again, there stood another men, Scarlet notice that man’s back features are a bit familiar and he is walking deeper in the room, Scarlet can only see the back of the man. She whisper to Nicolas to record what she is hearing, both from her ear piece to the computer’s microphone.

“Great work Lidia, you outdid yourself” said the man

Just by listening those words made Scarlet’s skin crawls, she knows that voice anywhere and it always made her skin shiver in anger and rage, she doesn’t need him to turn around, Scarlet knows who he is and right now she is in danger if she is found out.

“I can’t take this anymore! All I wanted was to kill the brat, but he... he... he betray my heart, I work for 15 years of my life for him, and he repays me by telling me that he is going to marry a stupid girl, and not me! So I took measures of my own, if Joseph was not going to be mine, then I rather see him dead than alive, I kill him out of love!” Lidia stared to tear up

Nicolas records everything he is hearing, as for Scarlet, she still has to be on her guard, so she doesn’t move and keeps listening to the conversation.

“I am really sorry about that, but I need it this way in order to see the city’s new team of Dragons, but I also notice that they are incomplete for my capture” said the man

“Team of Dragons?” said Lidia in disbelieve

“Yes, the power that they possess must be eliminated as soon as possible, the Bronze Dragon Otto Maroon, the Silver Dragon Titania Winter and the Golden Dragon Aron Kingston. Those are the three dragons I will hunt after I’m finish and kill the worst of them all” said the man

“There is a forth? Worst of them all?” ask Lidia

The man grin at Lidia “Yes there is, the ruler of the night and darkness, killer of a thousand mans, protector of the other Dragons, if you defeat it, you may possess the power to defeat the others, that Dragon is known as the Black Dragon, its name unknown, all we know is that its gender is female now”

The man grabs his gun behind him and shots at Lidia, she screams and close her eyes waiting for the bullets to tear her up, but the bullets never reach her, she opens her eyes to see a young woman in front of her with her hands straight open, she notice between her fingers. Scarlet holds the bullets on her hand as she stares at the stranger, he stare back at her and with a sinister smile at her.

“Is good to see you are still alive Black Dragon, Kurohi” said the strange man

“Paul James Myers, why am I not surprise” glare Scarlet with her Purple eyes

“Haven’t seen you since the day you try to kill me, you sure are a wild woman” said Paul

“You make me vomit, I am curious though, how are you still alive?” Scarlet tilt her head sideways

“That my dear Dragon is a secret” with that said Paul pointed the gun again, this time is Scarlet he is shooting

As he shots, Scarlet manage to hide Lidia and tie her up, then she jump into action toward Paul, he shoots at Scarlet, as she dodges every single shot, getting closer toward him and fighting head on, close combat, Scarlet manage to go to the gym or do martial arts to train herself from him, he was about to hit her with his gun when she use her electric speed to dodge it, she grab his arm and shock him, then she made a dark whirlpool, throwing him inside and out of reach for now. Scarlet walk over where the hidden Lidia is, she pick her up, opening the window doors, she jump toward the agency, leaving Lidia in front of the gates of the SCIC.

Aron got outside to take a fresh air, when he saw a woman, he never saw before leaving someone near the gate, he use his Dragon speed to get near it, the woman look up at him and vanish, just like that, but he could took a peak of that woman’s eyes, he notice that they were Purple iris. His gaze fell on Lidia and a USB drive.

Scarlet comes back from the tunnel to her lab, she removes her clothing, leaving her on her underwear, she gaze a reflection of her, showing her back, the scar that fall from her shoulder toward her hip, and the person that did it to her will never be forgotten. She grab her jeans and sweater, he eyes change back to the light brown everyone knows, she put her glasses back on and her lab coat, opening her office door, she sees Nicolas working on the case.

“These are the tissue examples that the Knight team took from Lidia” said Nicolas as Scarlet walks toward him

“How is she?” Scarlet ask

“She will be find the doctor said she is in shock, but how can I blame her, after all, she is the murder of this case, but she was also a victim of that guy” sigh Nicolas, then he look at Scarlet “Who was that guy Scarlet? How does he knows that you exist, when the world doesn’t even know that the Black Dragon is alive?” ask Nicolas

“My existences with these powers are secret, yes, but he is the only one that knows and is after the big prize. He knows that if he kills me, the other Dragons doesn’t stand a chance, that is the reason I protect them, even if they don’t know that I am doing it by instinct, is because of him” Scarlet sigh and removes her glasses “His name is Paul James Myers, his a very skill man, when I first encounter him, I didn’t have my powers under control yet, he left me to bleed to death one time, I train so hard that the second time we encounter, he started to believe that the Black Dragon’s spirit is possessing my body, he manage to make a strike on me cutting my right wing, although my wing regenerate, it left a scar on my skin and back. I was fed up by all of his attacks, so I hunt him and let my Dragon alter ego or dark side, what you call it, take all the fun it wanted, when I came to my senses, I had kill him, I took his body near a funeral and left it there, for someone to cremate the bastard” explain Scarlet as she re-adjust her glasses back on.

At that moment the machine sound, then Scarlet open the results, she reads them and nods at Nicolas, he then calls the team and tells them the results.

The entire team, where heading out on the rainy day, when Nicolas and Scarlet were at the gate when the rain started to become stronger, Nicolas couldn’t bear to think what this man is or what he is after, so he looks at Scarlet.

“Tell me, what is that man?” he ask her

Scarlet look at him, she notice that he is trying to understand, but she also see the fear of the probability to lose a very good friend, she lower her gaze at the ground

“That man, for some humans he is a hero, for demons he is a sadist murder, for rare kinds he is a hunter that captures for pleasure” Scarlet said with her gaze down

“And for your kind?” Nicolas worry tone came to light

Scarlet raise her head, eyes Purple “A killer of Dragons, a Dragon Hunter"
