Aria was beautiful and tall. Her appearance was well matched with Arthur. On the other hand, after Emma became a housewife, she only wore a T-shirt and long pants without makeup, just like a plain-old housewife.
Emma couldn't be compared with Aria because other than giving Arthur the best image of herself, she didn't care for anyone else.
"Arthur, this tie is really pretty and it suits you." Aria held the tie toward Arthur.
Arthur wore a doting smile on his face and said, "Whatever you choose is beautiful."
Aria smiled shyly and said, "Put it on quickly."
Arthur obediently removed the tie he was wearing and handed it to Aria. He then put on the new tie around his collar.
Aria pursed her lips. "This tie is too old-fashioned. Throw it away and wear the new one."
"Okay."
Across from them, Emma relied only on a few pieces of clothing to hide herself. She stared at the tie which she had carefully selected this morning thrown into the trash can, as if her good will was thrown away along with it.
"This b*tch, I'll help you beat her up." Grace cursed.
Emma quickly grabbed hold of Grace's arm and shook her head. "No, let them do as they please."
"You are so futile. Arthur is your husband."
Emma bit her lips bitterly and said, "He won't be my husband soon."
"Aren't you planning to tell Arthur? It was you who saved him five years ago, but he thought it was Aria. You hid the truth for so long and are you going to continue hiding it for a lifetime?" Grace was exasperated.
Emma raised her head. She had told Arthur the truth, but he didn't believe it. He had lost a part of his memory so she didn't blame him. She only hoped that someone would accompany him in the future.
After parting unhappily with Grace, Emma took a suit that she had carefully chosen, and sent it to Arthur's office. She wanted to give the prepared suit to Arthur so that he would not have to worry about these insignificant matters when he was at work or at home.
At the door, she heard Aria's voice within the office. "Arthur, stop it. It's enough."
The faint moans made Emma stiffen on the spot. It was not from the heartache, but from the stomachache. Wisps of pain made her entire body convulse.
Pushing the door open, she saw Arthur and Aria lying on the sofa. Aria's back was almost bare. When Aria saw Emma entering the office, she panicked and threw herself into Arthur's arms.
Frowning, Arthur shouted, "Get out!"
Emma pretended to be calm and smiled. "Miss McAdams, you are in such a hurry to flirt with Arthur in the office."
Aria looked at Arthur with grievance. Arthur's face turned dark and he said coldly, "Emma, what Aria and I have done is none of your business. Get out!"
Clenching her fist, her heart seemed to tear apart. Emma felt a warm current rushing out of her throat. She put the suit on the desk and forced a smile. "Arthur, this is your suit. Remember to always bring it with you in the future. Otherwise, when you are too busy at work, you'll need to ask your assistant to prepare it for any social functions. Even when I'm not here, you have to take good care of yourself."
"What's wrong with you?" Arthur was displeased and stood behind Emma.
Emma turned around and gazed longingly at Arthur. "It's nothing. I'm just worried that you won't be able to take care of yourself."
"Don't worry, Emma. I'll take good care of Arthur." Aria hooked her arm around Arthur's. "I've prepared some seafood porridge for Arthur. Have some too."
Then, Aria poured Emma a bowl of porridge from the thermos bottle. After having a little, the strong fishy taste made her stomach extremely painful. The smell of blood rushed into her throat. Emma couldn't put up with it anymore and the bowl fell to the ground. She covered her mouth and rushed to the restroom to vomit.
The red blood dyed the white tiles and the color contrast made them look particularly hideous. Emma's face turned pale. As she was looking into the mirror, she noticed Arthur walking in, so she quickly turned on the faucet to wash the blood away.
