Chapter 11. The new future
“What would anyone else have done in my place?” I asked myself over and over from the prison where I was.
Although the future had been revealed to me, so to speak, now that same future had led me to jail where I was going to spend the rest of my life, and all for something that I did not consider a mistake, but a fair and bold decision.
The future, what an elusive word, always thinking about it, preparing myself to achieve my goals, trying to improve to have a “better future” and suddenly… it slips away.
