DeWayne drove the car as carefully as he could, but with a little speed, bearing in mind that he had to get back to work as soon as possible. He took occasional glances at his passenger who didn't look very good from where he sat, she was falling in and out of consciousness and occasionally groaning like she was sick. He supposed it was a side effect of drinking more than one could handle.
He took another glance at her, genuinely worried that she was indeed getting sick, “Are you okay?” he asked.
She placed her hand on her stomach and her other hand over her mouth as he lurched forward slightly lie she was set to throw up. He looked into the rearview mirror and noticed her bizarre movements
“Hey, you good back there?” he asked, it was a little difficult trying to look out for her while making sure he focused on the road
She shook her head and reached for the handle of the door.
That was all the sign DeWayne needed to know that things were about to get messy, “Oh snap, hold up let me pull over” he said as he hurriedly steered the car to change lanes just so he could park on a curb. He successfully did that and brought the car to a halt, he had barely parked the car when she threw the door to the backseat open and threw up right on the sidewalk. Pedestrians had to move out of the way to ensure none of her vomit splashed against them.
De Wayne rushed out of the car and observed her as she threw up, she was on her knees by the sidewalk, barfing her lungs out and all DeWayne could think of was how downhill his night had gone since he decided he was in the mood to be a good Samaritan.
He leaned against the car and stared up into the dark sky, “This is just not my night.” He muttered to himself

DeWayne had his arm wrapped around Eva who was leaning against him as he walked her to her apartment. Earlier on, he had helped her get better after she had thrown up, by making use of a bottle of water he found in the backseat to wash her face. It was more nanny work than he had done all his life, but funny enough, it didn’t feel awkward, and neither did this walk up to her apartment. On the contrary, he kind of liked the fell of her softer and smaller form against him. He was well aware that it was not in his place to have such thoughts about an inebriated woman, but considering all he had been through with her in less than an hour, he thought he could be given a pass on this one.
They finally reached her apartment door, and he reluctantly put a little space between them, “You got your keys for your door?” he asked.
Eva looked up at him and smiled, it was still a bit goofy, so he knew the effect of the drink hadn’t quite worn off, but it was no less attractive
“Oh aren’t you a young one” she observed
Suddenly, she leaned into him, causing him to lean backwards a little so that his back only had the door as support. She was incredibly close to him, her full breasts crushing against his chest and DeWayne didn’t know what to make of this compromising position, but he kept his hands to himself nevertheless. The woman was partially drunk, and he was only here to drop her off, nothing more…at least that was what he told himself.
She held her key up in the air, basically dangling it in his face with a mischievous smile, “It’s open if you know how to stick it in” she said
If he knew nothing else, he certainly knew when someone was coming on to him, and this woman was giving him every sort of green light imaginable. Not for the first time, he wondered if she was fully conscious of her actions or if she still had the drinks to blame for her current state, but he figured there was no harm in indulging her.
His gaze roamed over her form, noting how impressive she looked, oh, he wouldn’t mind tapping that, “Yea this isn’t the first door I opened” he replied
She laughed, it was such a lovely sound that bounced off the walls in the hallway, “Oh really? Show me” she challenged, her voice taking on a low, sexy tone.
If DeWayne wasn’t interested before, she had undoubtedly piqued his interest now, and he was feeling up to whatever she had in mind, “Alright hand them over” he said, indicating the keys she still had in her hands
Eva slowly lowered her hand to drop the keys into his she moves closer and closer to him until they were mere inches away, and DeWayne swore she was going to kiss him. His eyes fell on her sexy lips, and he wondered what they would feel like pressed against his, if they were as soft as they looked. He was brimming with barely held in anticipation and just when he thought she would press her lips against his, she burped in his face and suddenly passed out as her head fell against his chest and he once again, for the second time in one night, had to hold up her body to ensure she didn’t crash onto the ground. He scrounged his features in disgust, more for her breath which had some stench influenced by a mixture of alcohol and barf as he looked down at her.
He looked up just in time to notice an elderly woman across the hallway sneakily watching them as she made a weak attempt to pretend to be opening her door. By the look on her face, he could tell just what she had in mind, and he felt a need to dispel whatever notions she was having, “Hey, it’s nothing going on over here” he said to her
The elderly woman had a mischievous glint in her eyes that told DeWayne that she probably didn’t believe him, “I bet now” she replied just before she opened her door and went into her apartment, once again leaving DeWayne and an unconscious Eva alone in the hallway
He smirked at the incredibly funny situation he had found himself in and shook his head, oh, this would make for one hell of a story….but before he returned to work to give Will the low down on his very interesting night, he had to put Ms Tipsy in bed
He reached between their bodies for the key which had been lodged between them when she went unconscious and hefted her body up a little to allow him slide the key inside the lock and open the door. He went into the house and had to navigate his way through her house with the dim light streaming into her apartment from outside. He wasn’t quite sure where her bedroom was, so he just figured he would try whichever door he saw that looked like it led to a bedroom.
He opened up the first door and quickly made up his mind that this was her bedroom mostly because of the feminine scent that permeated the room and not necessarily because the décor was particularly feminine in nature. It was a pretty simple bedroom.
He wasted no time admiring her choice of wallpaper, he took her to the pretty decent-sized bed and laid her body on it right before he tucked her in.
He watched her sleeping form before he remembered he had a job to get back to, he rushed out of her apartment and hoped she would be safe. It had indeed been an exciting hour with her, but he doubted they would have any reason to see each other again.

It took him half an hour to get back to work, mostly because he had to walk a great distance considering he barely had any money on him for transport. He jogged his way up to Will, then stopped to catch his breath.
“What I miss?” he asked as he got his breath back
“Yo boss is pissed you left” Will replied, from the look on his face, he didn’t seem very pleased by DeWayne’s absence either
“You told on me?” DeWayne asked, feeling a little betrayed by Will
Will rolled his eyes, “Like he wasn’t going to notice one of the two workers is missing.”
DeWayne snapped his fingers in regret, “Dang!” of all the nights for the boss to notice his absence, it was when he was off doing something righteous.
As if aware of his presence, the boss walked out of the restaurant and headed towards Will and DeWayne, he looked very much pissed, “DeWayne your fired get out of here” he ordered, his face in a glare
DeWayne he knew the boss could be an insensitive bastard, but he at least deserved to explain himself, “You can’t just hear me out?” he asked
The man didn’t particularly like such a suggestion, “No, you’re costing me money, I got no more chances for you” he said.
“Alright forget it then I’m out,” DeWayne said, he didn't even like the job in the first place
Will gave him a look like he had lost his senses, “Hold up” he said in a bid to speak some sense into his friend. He moved to DeWayne’s front to stop him from moving, but DeWayne was in no mood to hear anything from Will, so, he pushed him out of the way
“Will, get back to work,” the boss said.
Will felt a bit conflicted at first because he didn’t want his friend to just throw away his only opportunity to make some money currently, but at the same time, he didn’t want to be thrown out alongside DeWayne. As difficult as it was, he chose to get back to work, unwilling to contest he watched DeWayne’s walking down the street alone.
