CHAPTER 18
“Wake up, high member.” A soft voice said, as I opened my eyes.
A caller stood above me. I flinched. Her hood still too low for me to see her face, even lying down. The other caller stood by my bath chamber, all quiet and hidden.
“You slept all morning. You must wake up. We prepared you a bath,” he said in a factual manner. Not demanding, not ordering and without a hint of kindness. It was just a fact. I overslept and that was not acceptable.
I overslept.

I sat up, my hand moving around the bed, under the cover, trying to locate the gadget. I didn’t care what the caller thought of me. This would only confirm my weirdness to them.
