  Finally, after I agreed to speak with these two strange men in the living room, Nikolai set me on my feet. I wanted to run, to get away from them both as soon as possible, but that wasn't an option. Mikołaj was walking directly in front of me, and Nikolai was right behind me. If I moved in the wrong direction, even by an inch, they would catch me and drag me to the couch.   I resigned myself to my fate. I'd sit, tell them the truth, and then wait for the people from the lab to arrive. It wouldn't be too bad. I got away once before, so I knew I could do it again.
