As much as I would have liked to think about things and ponder everything a bit more, escape was still the primary goal. The area around me offered no places to hide, so I'd have to move quickly if I wanted to avoid being seen. The car I heard earlier was racing up the street and I wanted to be nearly invisible to the driver if possible. There were no trees or anything like that, nor bushes to sneak behind, but the ground bobbed here and there, which made it a little easier to hide once I'd gotten far enough away.
