room, but stopped mid sentence. “Oh my God,” she screamed, flying to his side.
“I’m calling the ambulance,” she said with shaky voice. With shivering hands, she dialed the emergency number. Spilling out words, she described the situation and gave the house address.
“They’re on their way,” she said calmly. “Everything would be fine now,” she said reassuringly, more to herself.
The ambulance arrived not quite long. She watched helplessly as the paramedics pushed her father into the ambulance. Her mom rode the ambulance with him.
