The time flew by so fast. Today is Friday, and I'm a bag of nerves. I don't know what's wrong with me. I felt so impatient that I couldn't wait until night, which led me to do some searching about my so-called crush, Jake. I searched for information about the recent football match on the university website.

Bingo.. There I found the big ticket. guess what.. Ya, there was the most fantastic picture collection of the match, as well as the names of team members.

Oh..! What a collection!

There were several of his amazing solo pictures during the match. I couldn't drool over much because all of a sudden someone plucked the phone from my hand.

When I was about to shout, I heard the scream from my annoying bestie, Ish.

"Oh, my god!" "Girl, they are super hot!" "Look at Ace." "Oh, he's so drop dead gorgeous.."

After allowing a few minutes for her to babble her mind and have fantasies about them, I just tried to take the phone back.

Then she asked,

"May I know why.. you.. are searching for these pictures, honey?" Since I can clearly remember that you were not interested in football or the hot guys,...

"Tell me.. tell me.. what's the secret?"

"There's nothing, Ish."

"Don't lie to me, babez." "I know about you from our diapers."

"Tell me.. tell me.. "

She started to bug me like a bug. "I just went through that stuff, ish." Was just time passing?

Oh, it was just time passing. Stop the crap, girl. "Tell me which one got the attention of my bestie."

"Oh, Ish, common.. Just leave it.

"Not until you tell me, girl." Is it Ethan? Our team captain

"No way, that jerk."

It's the opposite team. Jake... I said, "

" Oh! The captain of Ace's team? "Good choice, girl." "He's so devilishly handsome and talented, it's no wonder you fell for him, babe. " "But needed to say a very good choice.."

"I know..it's just a small crush, coz I know he's out of my league, Ish.."

"What are you talking about, girl? Out of your league..hell with that crap!

You are not second for him too... You are beautiful and have a super hot body and a golden heart, which is very rare to find. and super talented too. I think he's lucky that he got your attention.

Oh! Ish...I know you love me a lot, so that's why you can see me like that, but he's everyone's Prince Charming.

So what? Boys are after you too. Ish said, making a very serious face, which makes me laugh.

What if he has a girlfriend? I asked

"Will see.. No more arguing. You are not going to back off from your so-called crush. I'll find a way for you.

She said with a wink, "

Oh! I'm so fortunate to have a friend like this who thinks my problems are hers.

In the evening, we got ready with our black dresses and added some make-up too.

"Ish was so beautiful.."

Oh, girl, you look so hot. I'm pretty sure that Ace will not be able to take his eyes off of you today. which makes her giggle.

"Oh, I'm sure he will," said Ish, and we both laughed together.

"Stop talking about me, girl." Look at you. You look super gorgeous for that hun..you will be the pro of the day.. Oh, I really pray that Jake sees you like this. "Definitely, he'll fall head over heels for you."

Since Ace had told us that he'd meet us inside the club, we went there by ourselves. The club was huge and not the one where we usually hang out. Inside, it was dim and so noisy. Ish texted Ace to inform that we have arrived. So when we headed to the bar side, we saw Ace coming towards us.

He told me his friends were up in the VIP booth.

When we went, there were only two of his friends and all my hope vanished like a smoke in the incense since Jake was nowhere to be seen.

While Ace was introducing them to us, someone came from behind and made an excuse, and I just moved by giving him some space to move.

Holy crap!.. I couldn't believe my own eyes. It was Jake. He looked so dashingly handsome in a black long sleeve shirt, which was folded halfway in his arm. I think he's taller than I thought and lean but muscular. His body is well maintained, because I can feel the six packs under his shirt.

Ace introduced him to us when his beautiful blue eyes met mine. I should admit he's more handsome than I saw that day. Oh, save me, god. I'm falling hard for this guy.

To my disappointment, he just said hi and started to talk with his other friend, whose name I couldn't remember. Since I don't want to show him my feelings, I just try to ignore him and sip my mocktail.

It's so hard to concentrate on anything else when he's sitting right next to me, but I'm not going to be a cheap girl who throws herself at him. Though I like him, I have my own dignity.

Ish was busy with Ace, and I just watched the dance floor when she suddenly call me to dance. I said it was OK since I didn't want to disturb those two, but she insisted.

So we went to the dance floor, and soon Ace joined us too. I should say he's a social guy who is easy to hang out with. We danced freely to the beat while I forgot about Jake for a bit.

I gave some space to Ace and Ish and moved to the other side to dance.

The dj played Ed Sheeran's "Shape of you," and I love the song, which made me hum while dancing.

While I was so lost in the song..I felt someone try to hold me, and when I turned to see, it was none other than Ethan.

"Miss me, babe," said he, and was trying to hold me, which I shook off.

I just tried to ignore the guy, which he annoyingly didn't allow.

"What beautiful.. Why are you in such a hurry to leave? "Trust me, girl. You look super hot today."

Thank you for the compliment, Ethan, but I want to go.

Where do you want to go? We just started. And your friend is busy with her boy friend, so why don't we hang out?

I'm sorry... But now I don't feel like dancing. And I just try to move away.

All of a sudden, he caught me and pulled me to himself. Since it was a bit unexpected, I went and knocked on his chest.

On the other hand, he holds me from my waist. I struggle to move, but he's stronger than me. When I kept trying to move from his hold, someone came from behind and pulled me harder from him, and soon I landed with my back on a firm chest. I looked up to see my savior and couldn't believe my own eyes because it was Jake who pulled me.

He looked damn pissed off. and glaring at Ethen.

Ethen said, "What the hell, man, what are you doing?

Jake said, "Aren't you shameful to cause trouble for a girl?"

I should admit his voice is very sexy and dominant, which makes me wow and totally forget the situation I'm in. I zoned out when I heard the threat he was making for Ethan.

"What trouble, man? I was just trying to be with my girl when you interrupted. Why don't you mind your own business?"

Jake looked at my face and asked, "Is that true?"

I said, "No, No.. " I'm not his girlfriend, and I have never agreed to anything with anyone. He was just trying to hold me by force.

Jake turned to him and said, "Now, you got your answer, right?" Why don't you leave the girl now?

"Don't even think to try to create a scene here coz this club is one of my friend's, if necessary, I can ask him to put you out of it and never let you to in. So I'm not going to repeat myself, you better leave the girl now."

At that moment, I think one of Ethon's friends came and pulled him to one side, but before leaving, he never forget to threaten me.

He said, "Don't think this is over, girl. "I will make you mine soon."

After he left, Jake turned to my side and asked, "Are you ok?" Then I noticed that he was still holding me.

Oh! Can someone pinch me?

I feel like dreaming. I'm really in his arms. Today really is an amazing day. His arms feel really warm and cozy, and I feel like I'll melt under his touch.

I heard him ask again, "Are you alright?" which brought me back to this world. I said, "Yeah, I'm fine." Thank you so much for the help.

"It's fine," he said, and he made me stay steady and let go. I really missed the warmth, though it was there for a few minutes.

He said your friend is still dancing with Ace. Do you want to dance more or go to the booth?
