Duke placed his order and he sat there at the restaurant, waiting for his turn to be served. He didn’t understand how this was possible.
He was so sure that after what they did to the girl, she was going to die but that was not the case since Victoria had called and the girl was still alive.
Actually, this is the first time killing someone failed and he didn’t know how to take it. He had this thesis in his head that he can’t kill someone twice. If the first time failed and he tries for the second time, then he will be the one who will get killed.
