AUBREY’S POV
“I am so sorry that you had to go through all that alone,” Chris held my hand as I looked away. My anger was intense and I actually wanted to cry.
“I hate them both!” I mumbled.
“I know, calm down okay. I am here with you. Nothing like that will happen again,” Chris assured me and I blew several breaths.
I wanted to be calm before I went on with the sad part of the story.
“Are you okay? Can you go on and narrate the story?” Chris asked me.
“Yes, I am fine,” I chuckled awkwardly before I was silent for a while. I was gathering all the strength I could get to talk about this.
